FOP is a modern alternative to Firm Hold oil-based pomades. With fresh-modern fragrance and sporty-aquatic notes. Without artificial colorants. Made in Germany.
The first thing that catches your eye about FOP Pomade is the lovingly designed 100 ml can and the beautiful bold 1930s label in yellow, beige and reddish brown. If you unscrew the black, plastic lid, you look at an almost clear gel pomade The strong scent is fresh and clean, reminiscent of a modern shower gel. Aromatic, but not intrusive, and is always easily perceived in the hair, always caressing the nose.
The consistency of FOP Pomade is gelatinous, delicately sticky like honey, can be washed off from the fingers at any time very easily with water. It is very pleasant to apply and is reminiscent of medium-firm to firm pomades of the 1930s and 1950s. Accordingly, the styling of slickbacks and typical hairstyles of the 1930-50s is then also easy.
The shine of the FOP Pomade disappears quite quickly and is almost matte after a short time. Although the FOP Pomade as a modern, water-based hair pomade consists almost entirely of synthetic ingredients, it offers a pleasingly well-groomed look. This is probably due to the plant-based ingredients, such as the coconut oil it contains. .
Washing out the FOP is, as you would expect from a modern, water-based pomade, pleasingly simple: all you need is water to get it out of your hair again. Gladly one can strengthen the cleaning effect with a shampoo.
Direction:
Rub the FOP Pomade between your hands and massage into slightly damp hair. Then comb and brush the hair into shape. Tip: The FOP Pomade can also be applied to dry hair to make it look even more matte.

Nicht mein Bier
Ich benutze die FOP firm hold jetzt seit etwas über 2 Wochen. Zum Zeitpunkt meines Kaufes gab es noch keinerlei Bewertungen oder Reviews dazu im Internet, also musste ich einfach mal blind reinschnuppern. Die Konsitenz ist in der Tat fest und nicht klebrig. Klebrig wäre mir persönlich lieber gewesen, aber jeder mag es anders. Die Pomade lässt sich gut in leicht feuchtes Haar einarbeiten.
Nun die negativen Seiten:
Der Duft geht für mich in die Richtung herbes Rasierwasser. Erinnert stark an günstige Drogerie-Varianten. Der Halt ist zwar fest, trocknet die Haare allerdings nach einer Weile aus. Einen ganzen Tag hält die Pomade bei mir nicht durch.
Auch bei einem einfachen Slickback fallen früher oder später einzelne trockene Strähnen vom Haupt.
Ich selbst habe dicke Haare, die von der Länge etwa bis zur Nase reichen.
Eventuell ist das ganze auch nicht für meinen Haartyp ausgelegt.
Meiner Meinung nach wird das Produkt dem Preis nicht gerecht. Für 6 Euro weniger hätte ich jetzt auch weit weniger Bauchschmerzen beim verfassen der Bewertung.
