MG stands for Michael Gillert, a big Wild West fan and pomade addict from Berlin. Now in its seventh handmade pomade in a variety of strengths, scents and only the best ingredients, there's something for everyone. Big word of honor!

The hand-drawn, well-groomed and aged barber on the can already indicates that this is a pomade for the well-groomed gentleman. The barber is the one STRONG HOLD Pomade MG pomades. Once again, the pomade design, fragrance and product are absolutely coherent.

The incorporation into the hair is pleasant and comparatively easy for the experienced user of solid pomades. A very successful pomade that provides a first-class hold throughout the day and also gets curls or unruly hair under control. A medium shine is – typical for this texture – clearly there. For the removal of the pomade you need a little bit of force, this is best done with the back of the nail. Rubbed between the hands, the Barber shows its delicate side and quickly becomes supple for such a "firm" pomade and has an excellent "breakdown" without flakes or the like.

In the first moment unfolds a somewhat heavy scent of tobacco. Within a very short time, however, already comes the vanilla note, not too sweet, just right tuned and harmonizes perfectly with the stronger tobacco note. Finally, we perceive a spicy leg note, which perfectly rounds off the entire fragrance... The aroma is already something special and also the unique selling point of this handmade pomade. Again and again the scent blows around us and is again easily perceived. Here we find, the barber has a fragrance that is also well received by the masses and will bring the wearer one or two compliments. However, Michael has remained true to his line, because we also find already known nuances here in this "strong" pomade again. We find the reinterpretation of the tobacco & vanilla scent has succeeded perfectly here.

What we can really emphasize positively here is the easy incorporation of the Strong-Hold Pomade. It remains flexible and in no way makes a "helmet feel". The next morning, all you need to freshen it up is a few squirts of hair tonic, restyle and you're done. This also makes it a very economical pomade. As we are already used to from the MG pomades, only the best ingredients are used and as always without unnecessary ingredients.

Last but not least, we have here the point of washability. What can we say: We are extremely surprised at how easy it is to wash out this "strong" pomade. The experienced user knows how difficult and laborious it can sometimes be to wash out strong pomades. Here, too, Barber shows its gentle side. We got three full fingers of pomade washed out in a good two washes with a generous amount of shampoo.

Here is a little additional info:

Due to the high wax content in the pomade, it may be that a "puck" forms in the can, especially in the colder season. This means that the pomade contracts and could turn in the can when removed. However, this is not a defect in the product. The pomade is best processed at a room temperature of about 22 degrees. At this temperature, the pomade also lays back smoothly in the can. If this is not the case, press your thumb in the middle of the pomade when removing it, and at the same time push out the pomade in small amounts along the edge with the back of the thumbnail of your other hand. Rather more often in smaller quantities take out the pomade, rub and work into the hair. So even a bang "strong" pomade is fun and easy to style.
