If you want a firm hairstyle without shine, this "Uppercut Clay" (z.dt.: clay) is right for you. The "Uppercut Clay Pomade" is a modern pomade, a hybrid on water- wax basis. It was developed by hairdressers and is suitable for all hair types and hairstyles. The tin can with screw cap and the very nice design is a sporty eye-catcher anyway.
Consistency and fragrance
The Uppercut Matt Clay is a field gray pomade with a warm undertone. In terms of consistency, it is firm. Once you manage to dig some pomade out of the can with your finger, it looks and feels like soft plastic. However, it is not chewy, like a DAX or Murray's, but creamy. The pomade is easy to rub between the hands and work into the hair. Surprisingly, very little is enough to already achieve a very nice effect.
The scent is one of the best ever: a really successful mix of wood and leather. So it is stated by the manufacturer. However, we smell here rather a fresh fragrance composition, reminiscent of a modern perfume. Also otherwise, the Uppercut Clay is very modern. It is based - like all the most pomades from the Uppercut range - on water. And candilla and carnauba wax provide care for hair and scalp.
It will please all friends of the dry look!
The effect
With Uppercut Clay, the name says it all. In the hair, it is matte like clay - not a hint of shine. This is effectively ensured by the contained clay (Betonit). The Uppercut Clay is suitable for all firm classic and modern hairstyles. The hold is firm, and is also suitable to give a firmer shape to soft pomade or hair tonic already contained in the hair.
Washing out is absolutely no problem, best of course with a standard shampoo.

Uppercut" is a term used in boxing. In the 1930/40s the young Willy O'Shea earned the nickname "Uppercut O'Shea, " as he toured through Australia boxing week after week for nearly a decade. Just 15 years old, he came in 1930 from Ireland to Sydney, Australia. Despite the tough times and the hard sport Willy O'Shea always made an effort to look sharp and always had a clean tie in his bag as well as a tub of home-made hair grease. Willy's legacy lives on through the Uppercut pomade, an Australian family owned company which has set itself the goal to make you look as well groomed as it was Willy back in the 1930's.
