Scary pomade artwork with a spicy & fruity scent
A medium-weight, classic pomade based on petrolatum, lanolin, jojoba and beeswax. In a creepy-beautiful zombie look and a spicy, fruity-sweet scent of popcorn, cotton candy, glazed fruits and roasted almonds. Handmade in Germany.
Already the can design of the "Gentleman's Finest Pomade" in the look of the Día de los Muertos (Mexican Day of the Dead) is an eye-catcher. Colorful, fascinating and beautifully spooky. But the highlight hides inside the can. If you unscrew the tin can, you will not only encounter a fruity-sparkling scent. In the center of the pomade surface rest the remains of a skeleton, as in a coffin. In the form of a highlighted brooch of dyed pomade and in the optics of the can graphics lies in front of us a skull, embedded in a bouquet of roses. As mesmerized, this creepy romantic brooch attracts all the senses. It takes a bit of effort to dip ones finger into this exciting pomade work of art to get the pleasure of the pomade. The waxy jewel looks so fascinating and precious. One would like to take it out carefully and want to wear it as an accessory.
Removing the pomade out of the can works effortlessly, as one would expect from a medium pomade. The consistency is wonderfully classic, supple and also very sticky. This guarantees that fine and protruding hair are well held together by the pomade. The pleasant experience with the pomade goes on, however, because even working the pomade into the hair is smooth and the pomade can be distributed evenly. The hold is exactly in the medium-hard range, the gloss is classically elegant, maybe a little stronger. What would be a day of the dead without sweets? In the scent "Fun Fair Scent" can be found such as popcorn, cotton candy, candied fruit and roasted almonds. The result is a fruity, sweet, spicy, strong fragrance that accompanies you throughout the day. Hilarious and mysterious.
All four Gentleman's Finest Pomades have the same medium firm hold and differ only in design and the great scents.
Incidentally, behind the brand "Gentleman's Finest Pomade" is a collaboration between the well-known pomade brand Womanizer and the zombie specialist Exit Skin. The founder of Exit Skin - Sascha Kolmikov - not only produces high-quality zombie masks as a stylist for film and television, but also operates a hairdressing salon & barbershop in Erding near Munich, Germany.

Meine absolute lieblings pomade was Geruch, Festigkeit und Glanz angeht. Schade das sie so oft ausverkauft ist, würde sie sonst öfter tragen.

Absolut geil
Ich halte die Pomade und den Duft für absolut super. Der halt ist etwas fester als mittel. Für mich ist die Pomade eine gute Firm.
Der Duft ist absolut der Hammer.

Halt und Glanz top, Duft flop
Als ich die Gentleman's Findest Fun Fair Scent das erste Mal geöffnet habe, ist mir quasi eine volle Ladung Duft ins Gesicht explodiert und hat mich förmlich erschlagen. Nach kurzer Zeit konnte ich dann einzelne Nuancen ausmachen und tatsächlich erinnert die Fun Fair Scent an eine Kerb oder einen Weihnachtsmarkt - gebrannte Mandeln, Zuckerwatte, Duftkerzenstände. Im Prinzip ist das auch schön, aber leider ist der Duft viel, viel zu intensiv. Nach kurzer Zeit riecht das ganze Haus nach der Pomade und der Duft ist im Haar durchweg penetrant wahrzunehmen; bei einer optimal abgestimmten Pomade ist der Duft, meiner Meinung nach, präsent, aber hauptsächlich nur zu vernehmen, wenn Wind die Haare umspielt. So wie sie aber ist, ist die Fun Fair Scent leider ein richtiger Kopfwehgarant und hat dafür gesorgt, dass ich das erste Mal Pomade dafür verflucht habe, dass sie sich nicht auswaschen lässt.
Ansonsten gibt es natürlich, wie bei den Womanizer Pomaden, nichts zu meckern. Das Desit ist super. Der Breakdown ist geschmeidig und die Pomade lässt sich gut ins Haar einarbeiten. Der Halt ist top und der Glanz okay. Nur bringt das leider alles nichts, da der penetrante Duft den guten Eindruck zunichte macht. Schade.
