Items of Yardley
Yardley is a traditional London-based cosmetics manufacturer and one of the oldest brands in the world. Founded in 1770, Yardley became a leading name in perfumes at the beginning of the 20th century and was best known for its high-quality lavender soaps, which are still sold in drugstores today. In 1921, Yardley received its first award from the British Royal Family as a Royal Warrant Holder - an honour given only to the best British companies for outstanding performance. Today, Yardley holds two Royal Warrants and continues to supply the English Royal Family. The company's changing ownership had almost caused it to disappear from the German market. However, the well-known lavender water and other fragrances are available again, not to mention the world-famous Yardley Brillantine.
