Mr. CD Murray, owner of a Barber Shop in Chicago, in 1925 founded "Murray's Superior Products Company." The principles of the company were simple – a good product and a fair price. In 1959 Harry Berlin, a pharmacist from Detroit and a close friend of the Murray family, took over the company and built on the basic philosophy of the company and the product range. Harry’s son, Arthur, first witnessed a huge resurgence in the use of pomades in the 1980s which has continued to grow. After he had taken over the modern operations in Michigan - helped by his three sons, Jim, Jeff & John - Arthur Berlin summed up the firm’s continuing philosophy this way: "... most of the smaller companies are disappearing; we continue to prosper because we are focused on providing an excellent value for our customer while conducting our business with honesty and integrity."
