"An ode to the hair tonic.

The Beatles are to blame. John, Paul, George and Ringo sang "Yeah Yeah Yeah" - and definitely meant for the American hairstyles culture "No No No". The Fab Four thus are responsible for the decline of the American Barber Shops. As soon as the "British Invasion" reached the United States, the youth began to neglect their hair systematically: The hair was getting longer and as part of the hippie Mania often unkempt . That was the death for "Get a haircut!" Rednecks - and  for many traditional hair care products, whose application was previously part of the standard program of local barbers. A brand that has ignored the distortions caused by the rock world was Lucky Tiger. Loyal customers (probably from Muskogee, Oklahoma ...) made sure that the demand was always continued. Even in the gel containing 80ies some bottles of the famous Lucky Tiger Hair Tonic's got dusty and waited to be rediscovered. Now the time seems to be right, because Lucky Tiger has an exquisite collection of traditional hair and skin care products and goes strong again. The roots of the company lead back to the year 1927, when a young barber in Kansas City, developed a hair tonic to stimulate hair and scalp. Benjamin Clarke called his product Lucky Tiger Hair Tonic and everyone who visited his barber shop, got a three-part special treatment: wet shave, haircut - and a few drops of Lucky Tiger. The men loved it, and the ladies too. From 1935 Lucky Tiger was available throughout the United States and became the most popular skin care product. The brand has become synonymous with the good old America, with its conservative values and roots in rural areas. Even the rock 'n' roll heroes could not change anything - because everyone wanted to take care for his sideburns with some Tonics. Today the hairstyle-wars of the past are finished and the unstyled Schluffi look is equal with expensively produced hair sculptures. Lucky Tiger has opened up new customer groups, which are composed of retro enthusiasts as well as friends from classic hair care. In Germany, the Lucky Tiger products are available at Pomadeshop.de  Schraubergott Carsten Sobek"
