Klasse Duft nach Tabak und Cognac
Als großer Fan der "Clubman Reserve Serie" musste natürlich auch das neue "Cognac Neat" her. Nach der Bewertung war ich doch ein wenig abgeschreckt, aber die Neugier hat dann doch überwogen. Die Lieferung wie gewohnt ging wieder einmal schnell.
Nach ausgiebigem Test kann ich meinem Vorredner hier leider nicht ganz recht geben. Ähnlichkeiten zum Whisky Woods sind vorhanden, aber nicht so krass wie beschrieben. Ich vermute es lässt sich bei beiden Produkten auf die Holz bzw. Tabakblatt-Noten zurückführen. Im Laufe des Tages entwickeln aber beide Produkte andere Noten, bei einem flüchtigen Geruchstest aus der Flasche wirken beide schon identisch, auf die Haut aufgetragen sind diese dann aber unterschiedlich.
Ich bin mit dem neuen Produkt, trotz leichter Ähnlichkeit sehr zufrieden und bin schon gespannt was Clubman als nächstes auf den Markt.
Ist identisch mit "Whiskey Woods"
Normalerweise schreibe ich keine Rezensionen, aber in diesem Fall ist ein Warnhinweis für Clubman-Pinaud-Fans angebracht: Entweder habe ich eine falsche Abfüllung – ein Montagsprodukt – bekommen oder der neue Duft "Cognac Neat" ist schlicht eine Mogelpackung im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes: Er riecht nämlich exakt genau so wie Clubman Pinaud "Whiskey Woods". Nicht so ähnlich, sondern exakt genau so. Ich habe meiner Freundin bei geschlossenen Augen beide Flakons unter das Näschen gehalten, und sie hat gar nicht gemerkt, dass es sich um zwei Düfte handeln soll. Ich mag "Whisky Woods" und benutze es regelmäßig, daher stört es mich nicht, eine weitere Flasche davon im Schrank stehen zu haben. Aber die Enttäuschung ist schon groß, wenn man sich auf einen neuen Duft freut und dann Altbekanntes in neuer Verpackung bekommt. Laut Beschreibung des Herstellers teilt "Congnac Neat" mit "Whiskey Woods" auch bloß die Tabak-Note, die Düfte sollten sich also deutlich unterscheiden. Stattdessen unterscheiden sie sich gar nicht. Sieht man von der Mogelpackung ab, hätte ich 7 Punkte gegeben, 10 für den Geruch und 3 Punkte Abzug, weil er nicht allzu lange hält. Aber so ist das Beste, was sich sagen lässt: Wer "Whiskey Woods" mag, wird "Cognac Neat" auch mögen – und dennoch enttäuscht sein.
