Two first-class pomades combined in one jar - Original Pomade vs. Cement
If you have a choice, you're spoiled for choice. Classic washi-based or water-based modern as clay. Two top products combined in one revolutionary jar. Smells sweetly of vanilla cotton candy like the popular "cream soda" drink in the USA. Made in the USA.
The Layrite pomades from the world-famous "Hawleywoods Barbershop" in California are already an absolute cult. Now Layrite also offers a "Double". Two first-class pomades, combined in one can. Above the Layrite Original Pomade, the forefather of water-based pomades, below the Layrite Cement Clay. Or vice versa, as you wish.
The effect
Both pomades are the classics par excellence when it comes to water-based pomades.
The Layrite (pronounced "Lej-reit", in German: "Liegt richtig") pomade is water-based and gives a reliable and secure hold all day. But the difference to the classic gel makes the contained castor oil. The Layrite Original Pomade gives a first-class, medium-firm hold and that for the whole day.It is also easier to wash out than hair gel. It also even gives the hair a little more volume after it has set a little. The pomade gives a light, beautiful and unobtrusive shine. Since the Layrite is water-based, however, it is rather less suitable for rainy days or sweaty movements, because there the hairstyle can quickly collapse.
The Layrite Deluxe Pomade is a medium-strength pomade for a firm hold and a well-groomed, uniform, excellent-fitting hairstyle without looking greasy. The typical gel grooves in the hair are alien to the Layrite. It is best suited for short or medium length, thin to normal hair. With it, it is fun to try out all kinds of hairstyles without regret. Be it slicked-back hairstyles in the style of the 1930-40s, an Elvis quiff or other popular hairstyles of the 1950s, such as flattop, DA or pomp. Even for modern hair effects, like spikes, it is perfect. The Layrite looks like an orange-colored apricot jelly. And when you run your finger through it feels like a solid jello. It smells really yummy like vanilla cookies with apricot jam .
The Layrite Cement gives a firm hold and at the same time the popular malleability of a classic pomade. And that for the whole day. You can run a comb through your hairstyle at any time and restyle it as needed, without the hair drying out quickly or sticking together like with gel. What clearly distinguishes the Layrite Cement: the hairstyle gets a matte finish instead of shine, despite the contained oils, whereby the hair does not appear dried out or porous as with a gel. Instead, the hair feels well-groomed and healthy, but completely shine-free. Thus, the Layrite Cement is ideal for matte beach hairstyles, but even for longer hair, for the surfer and beach boy look, and also for everyday business.
The Layrite Cement looks like a solidified yogurt. It feels similar on the finger as well, just firmer than you would think at first glance. While it is fairly easy to remove, it is thick and somewhat sticky in consistency. When rubbing between the hands, however, it then becomes pleasantly soft and can then be massaged well into the hair.
It smells pleasantly mild, very sweet and vanilla and reminiscent of a cotton candy from the fair. With the Layrite Cement in the hair, the ladies will find you to bite.
Application:
Both products are easy to remove and work into the hair. Take a fingerful of the pomade of your choice, rub it a little between your hands and massage it into the hair. Comb, brush, and you're done. For the best matte effect result and firmer hold, Layrite Cement Clay should be applied to dry hair. The Layrite Original Pomade, on the other hand, may also be worked into towel-dried hair for a little more shine.
The Layrite Dual Chamber Original & Cement Clay is packaged in an ivory-colored plastic tin with a black and yellow barbershop-style label.
