A new sheriff is in town!

Firm, firmer, the new "HEAVY" pomade "The Sheriff" by MG Pomade. Hand brewed in the home kitchen in Berlin.

MG stands for Michael Gillert, a big Wild West fan and pomade addict from Berlin. With now the sixth hand-made pomade in different firmnesses, scents and only the best ingredients, there is something for everyone. Big word of honor!

The hand-drawn, tough and elderly sheriff on the tin already indicates that this is a pomade for real men. The Sheriff is the strongest of the six MG pomades. Hardly any other pomade has such a harmonious design, scent and product.

Working it into the hair is pleasant and comparatively easy for experienced users of very firm pomades. A very successful pomade that offers first-class hold all day long and also gets curls or unruly hair under control. The shine is typical for the firmness - slightly satin - and looks natural. You need a little bit of strength to remove the pomade, this is best done with the back of your nail. Rubbed between the hands, the Sheriff shows its delicate side and quickly becomes supple for such a "heavy" pomade and has an excellent "breakdown" without flakes or anything similar.

At first, a fresh, modern scent unfolds, with a light, leathery note in the aftertaste. After a short time, a light citrus note wafts around us, along with spicy-woody, almost resinous undertones. The aroma is something special and also the unique selling point of this handmade pomade. The scent wafts around us again and again and is easily perceived again. Here, we think, the Sheriff has a scent that is well received by the general public and will bring the wearer one or two compliments. But Michael has stayed true to his line, because we can also find familiar nuances in this "heavy" pomade.

What we can really highlight here is how easy it is to work the heavy-hold pomade into the skin. It remains flexible and does not give you a "helmet" feeling at all. The next morning, all you need to freshen up is a few squirts of hair tonic, restyle and you're done. This also makes it a very economical pomade. As we're used to from MG pomades, only the best ingredients are used and, as always, without any unnecessary ingredients.

Last but not least, we have the issue of washability. What can we say: We are extremely surprised at how easy it is to wash out this "heavy" pomade. The experienced user knows how difficult and laborious it can sometimes be to wash out very strong pomades. Here, too, the Sheriff shows his gentle side. We were able to wash out three full fingers of pomade in a good two washes with a generous amount of shampoo.

Additional information:

Due to the high wax content in the pomade, it is possible that a "puck" forms in the can, especially in the colder seasons. This means that the pomade contracts and could rotate in the can when it is removed. This is not a defect in the product, however. The pomade is best used at a room temperature of around 22 degrees. At this temperature, the pomade also becomes smooth again in the can. If this is not the case, press your thumb into the middle of the pomade when removing it, while at the same time using the back of your thumbnail on your other hand to push the pomade out in small amounts along the edge. It is better to remove the pomade more often in smaller amounts, rub it in and work it into your hair. This way, even a really heavy pomade is fun. and is easy to style.
