Shear Revival began in October 2013 in a small kitchen in Asbury Park, New Jersey. The founder and mastermind behind "Shear Revival" - Zachary West has been a successful stylist and hairdresser in the industry for over a decade. But after the available products did not meet his high quality standards, Zachary went into the kitchen himself and began to create his own products using his knowledge of the beauty industry.With a strong DIY work ethic and ethos, each product is handmade in small batches in what is now our own laboratory in order to always achieve products of the highest quality. He also places great value on using a maximum of natural ingredients and as little chemicals as possible. You can immediately tell from the ingredients used and the harmoniously coordinated scents with which the products are made.

The vegan formula of the Upstate Blues Texture Wax has been enriched with extracts and oils such as spirulina, sea buckthorn and marula oil to keep hair and scalp healthy during use. It has a clean, green and mossy scent with notes of lime, cedarwood and blue tansy.
