Black & White Pomade – The Cult Pomade from Memphis Since 1922 A true rock ’n’ roll legend: Black & White Genuine Pluko Hair Dressing Pomade has been delivering a medium, flexible hold, classic shine and its unmistakable scent of coconut, jasmine and warm summer days since 1922. The traditional cult pomade from Memphis, Tennessee. Made in the USA. Black & White Genuine Pluko Hair Dressing Pomade is one of the best-known traditional pomades in American grooming culture. Its history dates back to 1922, meaning this iconic pomade celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2022. Its roots lie in Memphis, Tennessee – a city synonymous with blues, rock ’n’ roll and American music history. The smooth formula, classic shine and characteristic fragrance are perfectly suited to the iconic men’s hairstyles of the 1940s and 1950s. Medium, Flexible Hold Black & White Pomade provides a medium, flexible hold. It reliably controls the hairstyle without hardening or making the hair feel rigid. Because the pomade does not set firm, the hair remains flexible throughout the day and can be restyled at any time with a comb or hairbrush. The hold can be increased gradually by applying several small amounts. Classic Shine and Smooth Hair The traditional oil- and wax-based formula gives the hair a natural to medium pomade shine. The finish looks polished and classic without appearing excessively wet or greasy. The pomade smooths flyaways, improves combability and helps create an even shape. Its well-balanced consistency makes it suitable for both beginners and experienced enthusiasts of traditional pomades. Ideal for Classic Men’s Hairstyles Black & White Genuine Pluko Hair Dressing Pomade is particularly suitable for: Pompadours and rockabilly quiffs Slick backs and side parts Executive contours Classic tapered styles Polished business hairstyles Short to medium-length hair Normal, thick or slightly unruly hair Consistency and Styling The white pomade has a pleasantly smooth, slightly waxy consistency. It is easy to scoop from the container and quickly softens between the palms. It distributes evenly through the hair without excessive resistance. Even a small amount provides control and shine, while additional product can be applied gradually to thicker or longer hair. The Legendary Scent The fragrance is an essential part of this pomade’s unmistakable character. Powdery notes of coconut and jasmine combine to create a warm, nostalgic composition reminiscent of summer days, the sea and classic men’s grooming. The scent remains pleasantly noticeable in the hair and emphasises the authentic vintage character of Black & White Pomade. Application Scoop out a small amount of pomade with your fingertips and rub it between your palms until it becomes soft and smooth. Distribute it evenly through dry or slightly damp hair, working from the roots to the ends. Shape the desired hairstyle with a comb or hairbrush. Applying the pomade to slightly damp hair makes it particularly easy to distribute and creates a stronger shine. For greater hold and a more natural finish, apply it to dry hair. Washout and Buildup As a traditional oil-based pomade, Black & White is water-resistant and cannot be completely removed with water alone. A good shampoo is recommended for thorough cleansing. Depending on the amount applied, several washes may be required. Many pomade enthusiasts use the remaining buildup as a styling foundation the following day. A little water, hair tonic or a small additional amount of pomade is often enough to refresh the hairstyle. Generous 200 g Container With 200 g of product, Black & White contains considerably more than many modern pomades. As only a small amount is required for each application, it is exceptionally economical to use. An American pomade legend since 1922. Packaged in a plastic container with a screw-top lid. Made in the USA. Free from added colourants and preservatives. Contents: 200 g Ingredients: Petrolatum Synthetic Wax Zinc Oxide Amyl Cinnamal Citral Citronellol Geraniol Hydroxycitronellal Linalool Limonene Parfum Featured in INSTYLE Men In October 2010, INSTYLE Men recommended Black & White Pomade for modern, upright short hairstyles.
