The long anticipated Reuzel Grooming Tonic is here! Like to be expected of Reuzel, it comes in a cool whiskey plastic bottle with the Reuzel logo embossing on its concave sides. Taking off the black screw cap, you smell the scent of sweet and sour apple and fresh mint, which is also the scent of the green Reuzel Pomade.
Between the hands the Reuzel Grooming Tonic feels oily, it is easy to apply into the hair which instantly feels smooth, easy to comb and scents sweet, sour and fresh. After a few moments the Grooming Tonic surprises with a pretty stable hold, which prepares the hair for further styling.
Tip:
The Reuzel Grooming Tonic is also perfect to add volume to the hair. Apply the tonic after hair washing into damp hair and blow-dry while brushing it. The hair gets extra volume, a pleasant hold and a discreet natural sheen.

Schöner Duft, ergiebig
Gibt einen gewisssen Halt und hat einen sehr schönen Duft. Im Gegensatz zu Ölhaltigen Hair Tonics ist es aber über längere Zeit nicht ganz so angenehm zu tragen. Ich kombiniere es entweder mit einer weichen Pomade oder trage die Haare lockig, wenn ich kein weiteres Produkt dazu verwenden möchte.
Two-pronged attack on your hair styling
Riechen tut es imho nach Cider aka Apfelmost, aber eher dezent, nicht aufdringlich. Gefällt.
Das tonic hat für mich doppelte Funktion:
Einmal wirkt es als primer also Grundierung für meine festen Pomaden (Goon Grease und die Womanizer-Sachen), eine knappe Handvoll ins gewaschene handtuchtrockene Haar massieren, Haare oberflächlich in Form bringen, paar Minuten antrocknen lassen, dann Pomade drauf, stylen. Unkompliziert.
Zum anderen als first aid kit um eine in Auflösung befindliche Frisur wieder in Form zu bringen. wenn an heißen Tagen alles auseinanderfällt und die Strähnen im Gesicht zu nerven anfangen. Pomade nachschießen ist bei mir immer unbefriedigend, die Strähnen werden dann halt schwerer und nerviger, halten tut es nur kurz (benutze keinen Fön). Mit dem tonic kurz in die Haare und nachfrisieren, kommt immer was Gutes raus. Schnell und problemlos ohne pappige Finger, denn das tonic lässt sich gut mit Wasser von den Händen spülen.
also ICH bin überzeugt, kein Gimmick sondern echte Hilfe. Punkt.
PS: Als Standalone kann ich aber nichts damit anfangen, hält definitiv keinen Pompadour, allenfalls gelegtes Haar.
Empfehlenswert
Das Hair Tonic riecht ein wenig süßlich, fast bonbonhaft, aber nicht unangenehm. Auf der Hand fühlt es sich ein wenig ölig an, was die Verteilung im Haar aber erleichtert und es klebt nicht.
Lässt man es lufttrocknen, ist die Festigkeit shcon recht gut gegeben. Wenn man die Haare fönt, werden Volumen und Halt sogar noch besser.

Ein wunderbares Tonic,
es hat einen angenehmen, modernen Duft.
Der Apfel ist leicht künstlich, aber schön minzig und nach dem fönen sehr dezent.
Beim einarbeiten fühlt es sich erstmal sehr ölig an der Hand an, aber keine Angst dem ist nicht so.
Nach dem fönen bekommen die Haare ein schönes Volumen und leichten Halt, perfekt vor dem schmieren einer Pomade.
Endlich gelingt es, Super
Habe die Pomade als Stylingmittel schon vor Jahren entdeckt, hatte jedoch immer das Problem (mit vielen Pomaden), das sich meine Haare nach ein paar Stunden immer wieder legten (Frisur hielt nicht Stand) und ich aussah wie ne fettige Pommesbude. Seitdem ich das Grooming Tonic verwende ist das anders. Einfach nach dem Waschen ins Haar einmassieren, und die gewünschte Frisur vorformen/föhnen, anschließend ein wenig Reuzel Medium Hold Pomade ins Haar und alles passt, auch über den kompletten Tag (funktioniert natürlich auch in Verbindung mit anderen Pomaden, jedoch bei mir mit der Reuzel am besten).
Besser als erst angenommen!
