The JS SLOANE Heavy Weight Brilliantine is a heavy weight modern hair cream for an easy styling of a classic 1940/50s look. Ideal for thick and wavy hair. It combines the elegance and aura of the "Old Hollywood" with the amenities of a modern hair styling product. The claim "has a firm, but flexible feel and hold" already says a lot about its consistency. Even the packaging is an homage to classic barbershops: amber coloured box with a twist cap and a paper ribbon. The JS SLOANE pomade is very pleasant to use, gives the hair gives a heavy, flexible hold with an elegant, silky lustrous shine. As usual in old Hollywood, also the JS SLOANE Brilliantine leaves the hair fragrant like freshly showered.
The effect
The JS SLOANE Heavy Weight Brilliantine is a slightly shiny pomade. If you want more shine, apply into slightly damp hair. If you want more hold, just take up more of Brilliantine. It strengthens the hair very well and feels throughout neither greasy nor sticky. The hair can be combed all day. Some water makes combing easier.
Hairstyles for which the product is suitable
The JS SLOANE Brilliantine is best for sharp, classic hairstyles a la Gatsby. But also for styling of all classic and modern hairstyles it can be used, like in the New York barbershops. For one, it is perfect for light and loose hairstyles or even a neat side parting because of their lightweight yet good hold. And it is very easy to wash out.
The packaging
The packaging in a sophisticated vintage look is the highlight of JS SLOANE Brilliantine. It reminds of old school Barber Shops and bathrooms of stylish hotels of the 1930s era. A beautiful, golden-brown colored paper strip crowns the top like a band on a Havana cigar. In the middle of the image of a clean, pomaded man promising "Keeps hair neat all day".
The consistency and fragrance
Although JS SLOANE is a water based pomade, it differs from all other products. Because the JS SLOANE Brilliantine is pink pearl colored and perfumed with a soapy clean, fruity and fresh rose fragrance. The scent is mild in the hair, and leaves the hair all day smell like freshly showered. The consistency is also unusual: Creamy, firm, slightly sticky, silky. The finger-thumb test reveals long thin fibers. This is what make the hair hold together. Especially men with fine hair will appreciate this.
Application
The JS SLOANE Brilliantine unfold its effect at its best if you take only a little - a finger tip to a finger full. Then comb and use a hairbrush with real bristle.

Tolles Produkt
Beim Öffnen der ansprechenden Verpackung strömt einem direkt der sehr angenehme Duft entgegen. Die Konsistenz ist weich und die Pomade lässt sich gut verteilen. Dass die Pomade wasserbasiert ist, äußert sich in dem Gel-artigen Charakter. Die Pomade bindet im Haar schnell ab und hinterlässt das Gel-Typische Gefühl. Zum nachfrisieren hilft es den Kamm mit etwas Wasser zu befeuchten. Einmal aufgetragen und in Form gebracht hält das Haar sehr gut. Nachfrisieren während des Tages ist möglich, der Halt ist dann aber nicht mehr so gut wie ursprünglich. Dennoch ein tolles Produkt, vor allem wenn es mal schnell gehen muss und man zwischendurch eine leichte Pomade für einen coolen Style möchte.
Erstklassig
Ein ausgesprochen hochwertiges Produkt, schon die Verpackung hat Klasse, ein Schraubverschluss aus Aluminium und ein Plastikbehälter in Braun -Glasoptik.
Der Geruch ist sehr Intensiv und natürlich Geschmacksache. Für mich aber riecht es sehr gepflegt und leicht blumig, wie Frisch gewaschen mit einer guten Seife. Er hält den ganzen Tag an, ist aber nicht aufdringlich.
Die Konsistenz ist eher Fest. Die Pomade lässt sich aber leicht entnehmen, gut in den Händen verreiben und ist generell sehr angenehm und leicht in der Anwendung.
Ich wasche mir vor dem Gebrauch die Haare und verwende die Pomade auf leicht feuchtem Haar, So lässt es sich am besten verarbeiten.
Man kann die Pomade auch mal bei Bedarf mit ein paar Tropfen Wasser mischen um die Konsistenz zu ändern.
Die Pomade wird nach ca. einer halben bis Stunde fest und hält den ganzen Tag die Frisur Top in Form.
Das Nachfrisieren ist möglich, aber das Ergebnis hat nicht mehr die Qualität wie zu beginn, ist aber ohnehin nicht Notwendig da die Frisur einen exzellenten Halt hat und äußerst selten einer "Nachjustierung" bedarf.
Auswaschen ist sehr einfach da Wasserbasiert.
Alles an dieser Pomade ist durchdacht und das Gesamtbild ist Erstklassig!
Der Preis ist für die Qualität des Produktes (und auch aller anderen JS Sloane Produkte) durchaus gerechtfertigt.
(Ich habe mittellanges Haar und trage eine klassische Frisur mit Seitenscheitel)
