As soon as the shine of the hairbrush starts to fade, it's time to clean it. Remove hair from the brush by lifting it out from the side with a comb or the Don Draper brush cleaner. Move back and forth in soapy water and rinse under cold water. Do not soak as the bristles will absorb water and damage the wood. Shake off excess moisture and place the brush on a towel with the bristles facing down. Allow the brush to air dry and do not apply additional heat.
