A light, nostalgic floral-tart fragrance
Smells floral-tart with a light honey note and leaves a mild powdery aroma on the skin. Manufactured by the traditional Czech company ALPA.
In 1918, World War I ended and the Roaring Twenties were just around the corner. A new fragrance was to accompany them: The fragrance was called "Chypre" after the island of Cyprus, from which many of the ingredients of this perfume came - in French "Chypre". The fragrance style was not new, but with this fragrance composition, the perfumer Francois Coty created a new fragrance class. In the decades that followed, there were chypre fragrances from very large perfume houses such as Guerlain, Chanel, Rochas and Estée Lauder. Even Calvin Klein's CK-One from 1994 is a fresh, citrus chypre fragrance.
The fragrance
The fragrance of the Alpa Chypre is reminiscent of the Alt-Innsbruck EdC. However, it is much milder, more subtle. The Alpa Chypre cologne smells aromatic and yet mild, floral and sweet of musk, with a warm base note. The scent does not seem to last all day and you soon only notice a gentle powdery hint of musk and vanilla aromas on your skin. And that for a few hours.
Who is the fragrance for
- For nostalgics
- For women and men
How to use it
Alpa Chypre is used like a typical cologne.A couple of drops or several splashesare applied to the neck, cheeks or pocket square. Alpa Chypre is less suitable as aftershave. The 80% it contains is likely to burn quite a bit. On the other hand, it does not contain any skin-soothing ingredients such as glycerin or allantoin.
The packaging
The robust-looking glass bottle supports the originality of this cologne. The label is yellow, with a romantic, brown oval frame in the middle of which the silhouette of a naked lady dances. the lettering "ALPA" and "KOLINSKA VODA" (German: Cologne Water) are in dark green.

Frisch-Elegant-Zeitlos
