The scent of the 378 is strongly reminiscent of the german Irisch M**s from 1969. But the 378 goes more into a fresh powdery chypre scent. The skin feels smooth with 378, and smells even after an hour. The shaving lotion contains moisturizing glycerin, a bit of cooling menthol, and Septonex. Septonex is used to cleanse, heal and rejuvenate burned skin. The active ingredients have antimicrobial, antiseptic and disinfectant properties, which freed thanks to the Septonex the wounds of infectious agents.
In addition to the oldest product of the Czech traditional manufacturer Alpa - the Alpa curative alcohol linament splash - the 378 belongs to the bestsellers. The 378 aftershave surprises with its beautiful and familiar fragrance. The Czech term "Voda po holeni" (in engl.: water after shaving) on the small label makes clear that this aftershave has been reserved for the market within the Czech Republic.
The scent
The Alpa 378 smells after the 1930s or 1970s. The fragrance is woody, aromatic, fresh, spicy and powdery. It reminds clearly of the German aftershave Irish M**s. But while the German product focuses on the dry style of the 1970s, the 378 smells more like chypre in an elegant 1930s style without losing his masculine animalistic charisma.
The packaging
The small, solid glass bottle looks like a nail polish, and turns the 378 into a space-saving travel companion. But even in the bathroom the 378 looks cute and your girlfriend will cheer over more space for her cosmetics. The label is simple, designed in a nostalgic 1930s style. The small opening allows no waste of this nice and inexpensive aftershave. The rounded black rotary cap completes the very likeable look.

Schwerer Duft mit Charakter
In der Flasche riecht es etwas altmodisch und erinnert mich an den schweren Duft in Wasserpfeifenläden. Beim verreiben im Gesicht fällt auf, dass es nicht so gut "gleitet", wie die meisten anderen After Shaves. Der Geruch im Gesicht ist sehr angenehm, etwas schwerer und kräftig. Eine tolle Sache für Leute, die einen Duft mit viel Charakter suchen, den man nicht mal eben im Laden um die Ecke bekommt. Vor allem bei dem Preis eine klare Kauf- bzw. Probierempfehlung.
Feines oldstyle Aftershave
Eine etwas altmodische, aber feine Ergänzung zu meinen beiden Favoriten unter den After Shaves, dem Alpa Windsor und dem Dapper Dan After Shave Blue: Ein angenehmer, aromatisch-würziger Duft, voluminöser und länger anhaltend als das feinherb-wacholdrige Windsor aus dem gleichen Haus. Nicht ganz mit der erfrischenden Wirkung der beiden oben angeführten After Shaves, dennoch eine klare Empfehlung an Männer, die wie ich das Zeitlose eines Klassikers schätzen.
