The very unusual, heavy, checkered glass bottle with the nostalgic label is a looker. The very pleasant, fresh scent is subtle and exudes a clean, light and unobtrusive charm of the 1930/40s. The content of a pint really invites you to a generous use. An elegant everyday fragrance.
"Fougere" is a classic, groundbreaking men's fragrance which was created in 1882 under the name "Fougere Royale" by the company Houbigant Paris.
The "Alpa Fougere Eau de Cologne" is a beautiful cologne in a unique glass bottle. It is produced by Czech traditional company Alpa, which has been famous since 1913 for its Alpa rubbing alcohol - and that until today produces unique fragrances of the 1920-50s.
The scent
The "Fougere Alpa" is definitely a nice, authentic cologne for everyday use. The fresh scent of lavender, oak moss, tree moss and coumarin (Coumarin smells of fresh hay and fern) is a neat, authentic feeling. Particularly appealing about this scent is that one simply can smell stylish, without being too overpowering. This is not reflected in the price does, as the Alpa Fougere - like all Alpa products - is very low priced. And, incidentally, the Fougere is the favorite fragrance of the Alpa's managing director.
The packaging
The Fougere's sturdy glass bottle is really unique. With its massive, ribbed diamond pattern, it almost looks like a castle wall or a hand grenade. Without the large, fluted turning cap the Alpa Fougere looks like in a bathroom of the 1940s.
The Alpa Fougere Eau de Cologne is, like all colognes, applied at will and at any time of day. It refreshes and - unlike perfume or eau de toilette - gives a mild but pleasantly long perceptible scent. Fougere should not be used as an aftershave, since it offers no soothing effect. Otherwise, you can apply the Fougere on the face, upper body, but also on your clothes.

Das ist ein Cologne von altem Schrot und Korn: Klar, unaufdringlich, frisch, für jeden Tag geeignet. Wer es verwendet, macht damit wirklich nichts falsch.
Ich nutze es, entgegen der Empfehlung, gerne auch als Rasierwasser nach der Naßrasur; nun, da bretzelt´s dann schon kurz und kräftig, jedoch ist der desinfektorische Erfolg unstrittig, und das klassische Fougère- Aroma, das in sympathischer Weise an Opa sonntagmorgens am Frühstückstisch erinnert, entschädigt hierfür mühelos. Unbedingt empfehlenswert!

Schönes Produkt zu fairem Preis. Geeignet für Büro und Freizeit. Angenehm zur Haut und mit unaufdringlichen Duft. Hält ungefähr 3 Stunden vor und verschwindet dann, was für ein Produkt dieser Art auch OK ist. Die Flasche könnte einen schöneren Verschluss vertragen.

Ich gebe diesem Eau de Cologne 9 von 10 Sternchen, es verfliegt recht schnell und der dann übrig bleibende Grundduft könnte gern noch etwas von den Duftnoten behalten, die beim/nach dem Auftragen enthalten sind.
An der Flasche geschnuppert hat es mich an Bvlgari Homme erinnert. Auf der Suche nach .. sagen wir mal - einfach einen anderen Duft als die bislang von mir notorisch über Jahre verwendeten (Black XS und Bvlgari Homme) hat mich das erst einmal gefreut.
Nachdem das Cologne etwas einwirken kann, geht es in einen unaufdringlichen, süß/puderigen Duft über (soweit meine Nase das beurteilen kann)
Der definiv anders ist, als die von mir bislang benutzten After Shaves/Düfte.
Ich hatte mir zusätzlich noch einige Tester mitbestellt und dachte mir, das Lucky Tiger Aspen harmoniert mit dem übrig bleibenden Duft des Alpa Fougere, also gleich ne leichte Ladung mit dazu aufgetragen und TADAAA.. einfach lecker (zumindest in Verbindung mit meinem Eigenduft, der ist ja bei jedem Menschen unterschiedlich)
Das Alpa Fougere für sich mag ich schon echt direkt gern, als Variante mit dem Lucky Tiger Aspen, nochmal eine ganz eigene Duftnote..
