Pre-Shave
Pre-shave products prepare the skin and beard hair for shaving by creating an additional layer of lubrication between the skin and razor blade. Depending on the formula, they moisturise, soften coarse beard hair and can reduce friction during shaving. This allows the blade to glide more easily across the skin and helps reduce tugging and discomfort.
Pre-shaves are available as oils, creams, gels or lotions and are particularly suitable for coarse beard growth and dry or sensitive skin. While pre-shave oils usually provide richer nourishment, creams, gels and lotions often feel lighter and more refreshing. To use, massage a small amount into damp skin and beard hair, leave it to work briefly and then apply shaving soap or shaving cream directly on top.

This balanced composition smells clean and refreshing while remaining pleasantly understated. Directions Thoroughly moisten the areas to be shaved with warm water. Apply a sufficient amount of Shave Butter evenly with the fingers and allow it to sit briefly. First shave in the natural direction of hair growth, rinsing the blade regularly with water. For a particularly close shave, carefully shave across or against the direction of growth afterwards, provided the skin tolerates it well. After shaving, rinse away any remaining product with cold water and gently pat the skin dry. Follow with an aftershave or conditioning aftershave balm if desired.
