Legendary Pomades
These legendary pomades were already among the great classics of the 1920s to the 1950s – and remain available today. They represent the glamorous era of classic men’s hairstyles and influenced many of the pomades that followed.
But these classics are far from outdated. With their timeless appeal, distinctive fragrances and traditional styling performance, they continue to captivate generation after generation. They take both hair and senses on a journey into the past, giving every hairstyle classic elegance and authentic vintage charm.
Murray’s Superior Pomade – The World-Famous Classic in the “100 Years” Design The legendary Murray’s Superior Hair Dressing Pomade in the new “100 Years” design. Since 1926, this American classic has stood for very strong hold, subtle shine and unmistakable barbershop character. Its traditional formula with only a few ingredients controls even thick, curly and unruly hair. Made in the USA by Murray’s – one of the world’s best-known pomade brands. Few hair pomades have influenced the history of classic men’s hairstyles as profoundly as Murray’s Superior Hair Dressing Pomade. Since its introduction in 1926, it has become one of the world’s best-known oil-based pomades. The new “100 Years” design celebrates a century of pomade history and gives the legendary tin a special collectable character. The secret of its success is as simple as it is effective: an exceptionally firm and economical pomade that reliably controls even difficult-to-manage hair. As only a small amount is required, one tin can last for a particularly long time when used sparingly. Hold, Shine and Finish Hold: very strong Shine: low to satin Finish: classic, controlled and flexible Scent: warm, mild and subtly sweet Very Strong Hold Without Hardening Murray’s Superior provides a very strong, long-lasting hold without hardening the hair completely. It reliably controls thick, curly or unruly hair and helps create clearly defined shapes. Unlike gel pomades, the hairstyle remains flexible and can be reshaped at any time with a comb or brush. The hold can be built gradually by applying several small amounts of product. Classic Shine and a Controlled Finish The pomade gives the hair a subtle satin shine that looks polished and emphasises the classic character of the hairstyle. Its shine is more restrained than that of a soft pomade, as Murray’s Superior focuses primarily on hold and control. Murray’s Superior is particularly suitable for: Pompadours: for plenty of volume and dependable stability Slick backs: for a smooth and controlled shape Executive contours: for classic barber styles with a clean silhouette Side parts: for precise lines and long-lasting definition Rockabilly hairstyles: for traditional styles with an authentic pomade finish Thick or curly hair: for particularly strong control Ideal as a Base Pomade Many pomade enthusiasts use Murray’s Superior as a base pomade. Its strong hold provides a stable foundation that can then be combined with a softer pomade. For additional shine or a smoother surface, apply a small amount of Don Draper Men’s Pomade, Sweet Georgia Brown, Murray’s Super Light or Murray’s Hair-Glo over the finished hairstyle. Consistency and Application The honey-coloured Murray’s Superior has an exceptionally firm and slightly sticky consistency. Some pressure is required to scoop it from the tin. The warmth generated between the palms makes the pomade more pliable and easier to distribute through the hair. For even application, begin with a very small amount. Rub it thoroughly between your hands and work it through the hair from the roots to the ends. Add further small amounts gradually if required. The Scent The fragrance of Murray’s Superior is as distinctive as its hold. It is classic, warm and subtly sweet. Many users notice nuances reminiscent of vanilla, caramel and lightly powdery barbershop notes. The scent remains pleasantly understated in the hair and combines well with an aftershave or fragrance. Application Remove a small amount from the tin with your finger and rub it thoroughly between your palms until the pomade becomes slightly more pliable. Work it evenly through dry or slightly damp hair. Applied to dry hair, Murray’s Superior develops its strongest hold. In slightly damp hair, it spreads more easily and produces a little more shine. Shape the desired hairstyle with a sturdy comb or hairbrush. For very thick hair, the closed tin or the removed amount of product can be warmed carefully with a hairdryer before application. Buildup and Restyling Murray’s Superior is ideal for creating a traditional pomade buildup. Some of the product remains in the hair after washing and provides a stable foundation for styling the following day. A little water or a few splashes of hair tonic are often enough to refresh the hairstyle. The hair can then be recombed and finished with a small amount of fresh pomade if required. Washing Out As a traditional oil-based pomade, Murray’s Superior cannot be removed completely with water alone. Thorough removal usually requires several washes with a deeply cleansing shampoo or a dedicated degreasing shampoo. Many traditional pomade enthusiasts deliberately leave some product in the hair and use the remaining buildup for quicker and more stable styling over the following days. The “100 Years” Design To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Murray’s Superior, the iconic metal tin is presented in a special “100 Years” design. The anniversary edition combines the familiar retro appearance with a visible tribute to the remarkable history of this pomade, which has been available since 1926. Packaged in the classic metal tin – now featuring the new “100 Years” design. Made in the USA. Free from colourants and added preservatives. Murray’s Super Light Pomade – Light Hold and Shine for Dry Hair Murray’s softest traditional pomade provides light, flexible hold and a natural to high shine. Its rich formula with lanolin, coconut oil, mineral oil and aloe vera extract is particularly suitable for dry or dull-looking hair, longer hairstyles and use as a shine-enhancing finish over a firmer pomade. Highly economical and easy to apply. Made in the USA. Murray’s Super Light Pomade is the soft and exceptionally easy-to-use alternative to the legendary Murray’s Superior Hair Dressing Pomade. While Superior is best known for its very strong hold, Super Light provides greater smoothness, movement and shine. Its soft consistency is effortless to scoop from the tin, rub between the palms and work through the hair without pulling. This makes it ideal for beginners, longer hair and anyone who prefers a relaxed, well-groomed pomade look. Hold, Shine and Finish Hold: light Shine: natural to high Finish: smooth, flexible and polished Scent: mild, classic and pleasantly subtle Light Hold and Flexible Control Murray’s Super Light provides a relaxed hold without making the hair stiff or allowing it to harden. It smooths flyaways, visibly reduces frizz and gives the hairstyle a polished shape while preserving natural movement. The hair can be restyled at any time using your fingers, a comb or a brush. Its hold alone is usually not sufficient for particularly precise or high hairstyles. When combined with a firmer pomade, however, Super Light reveals its special strengths. Ideal as a Shine-Enhancing Finish Many traditional pomade enthusiasts use Murray’s Super Light as a topper or finishing pomade. A firmer pomade such as Murray’s Superior or Murray’s X-Tra Heavy is first applied to create the hold and basic shape. A very small amount of Super Light is then smoothed lightly over the finished hairstyle. This gives the hair greater suppleness and a more intense, even shine without significantly reducing the hold already created. For Dry and Dull-Looking Hair The rich formula with lanolin, coconut oil, mineral oil and aloe vera extract helps leave the hair feeling smooth and well groomed. The included oils help smooth rough-looking hair and restore shine to hair that appears dry or dull. Super Light can also be used sparingly on longer hair, dry ends or visible flyaways. Due to its rich formula, it should be applied carefully to fine hair to avoid weighing it down or creating excessive shine. Suitable For Dry or dull-looking hair: for greater suppleness and a polished shine Fine to normal hair: for relaxed styles with light hold Medium-length and long hair: for flexible control and natural movement Slick backs and side parts: for classic hairstyles without strong hold Flyaways and frizz: for smoothing individual sections of hair As a pomade topper: for additional shine over a firmer pomade Ideal for Pomade Beginners Anyone trying a traditional oil-based pomade for the first time will find Murray’s Super Light particularly easy to use. It offers the flexible restylability of a classic pomade but is considerably easier to scoop and distribute than Murray’s firmer products. Very soft consistency Easy application without pulling Light and flexible hold Natural to high shine Economical and versatile Consistency and Scent Super Light has a very soft, smooth consistency and melts quickly when rubbed between the palms. This allows it to be distributed particularly evenly throughout the hair. The scent is mild, clean and classic. It remains pleasantly understated in the hair and can easily be combined with an aftershave or fragrance. Highly Economical Murray’s Super Light is exceptionally economical. For many hairstyles, a fingertip covered with only a thin layer of pomade will be sufficient. Using too much can quickly weigh down fine hair and create a very high shine. Always begin with the smallest possible amount and gradually add more product if required. Application Remove a small amount from the tin with your fingertip and rub it thoroughly between your palms. Work it evenly through dry or slightly damp hair, then shape the desired hairstyle using your fingers, a comb or a brush. Applied to dry hair, the pomade feels grippier and controls flyaways particularly well. In slightly damp hair, it spreads even more easily and produces a more intense shine. When using it as a finishing pomade, spread a very small amount between your palms and gently smooth it over the already styled hair. Washing Out and Buildup As a traditional oil-based pomade, Murray’s Super Light cannot be removed completely with water alone. Due to its soft consistency, however, it can be washed out more easily than Murray’s Superior or X-Tra Heavy. Depending on the amount applied, one thorough shampoo wash will often be sufficient. Heavier buildup may require additional washes. A light amount of remaining product can deliberately be used as a styling foundation for the following day. Packaged in a classic nostalgic metal tin. Made in the USA. Free from colourants and added preservatives. Contents: 85 g Ingredients: Petrolatum Lanolin Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil Parfum (Fragrance) Paraffinum Liquidum (Mineral Oil) Aloe Barbadensis Extract (Aloe Vera) Benzyl Benzoate Benzyl Salicylate Citronellol Coumarin Geraniol Hexyl Cinnamal Hydroxycitronellal Limonene Linalool

Murray’s Hair-Glo – Legendary High-Shine Pomade for the Classic Wet Look Legendary wax-free shine pomade from the 1920s with light hold and an intense wet-look finish. Its traditional formula of petrolatum, lanolin, coconut oil and fragrance leaves the hair smooth, controls flyaways and creates exceptional shine. Ideal for slick backs, classic side parts and as a high-shine finish over a firmer pomade. Made in the USA. Murray’s Hair-Glo was developed in the 1920s as a wax-free pomade for superior shine and smoothly slicked-back hairstyles. While the legendary Murray’s Superior primarily focuses on strong hold, Hair-Glo is all about smoothness, flexible control and a glossy wet-look finish. According to the ingredient declaration, its minimalist formula contains only four ingredients: petrolatum, lanolin, coconut oil and fragrance. Its soft consistency spreads effortlessly through the hair, making Hair-Glo an easy-to-use shine pomade for classic hairstyles, longer hair and dry-looking ends. Hold, Shine and Finish Hold: light Shine: very high Finish: smooth, flexible and glossy Scent: mild and classic Intense Shine for the Classic Wet Look The greatest strength of Murray’s Hair-Glo is its intense, deep-looking shine. It smooths the hair’s surface and creates the polished wet look associated with classic men’s hairstyles from the 1920s to the 1950s. Because the formula contains no shaping wax, its hold is deliberately light. The hair remains movable, smooth and easy to reshape at any time using a comb or brush. Suitable For Wet looks: for an intense, classic-looking shine Slick backs: for smoothly combed and supple hair Side parts: for elegant hairstyles with flexible hold Longer hair: for smoothing and controlling individual sections Dry-looking hair: for greater suppleness and visible shine As a finishing pomade: for additional shine over a firmer pomade Ideal as a Topper Over a Firm Pomade Many pomade enthusiasts use Murray’s Hair-Glo as a topper or finishing pomade. First apply a firmer pomade such as Murray’s Superior or Murray’s X-Tra Heavy to create the hold and basic shape. Then smooth a very small amount of Hair-Glo lightly over the finished hairstyle. This gives the hair an especially even, deep shine while largely preserving the hold of the pomade underneath. Smooth Hair with Lanolin and Coconut Oil Lanolin and coconut oil help leave the hair feeling smooth and make dry or dull-looking sections appear more polished. At the same time, the rich base gives the hair its characteristic shine. Hair-Glo can also be used to control frizz, flyaways or dry-looking ends. Due to its rich formula, it should be applied sparingly, especially to fine hair. Consistency and Scent Hair-Glo has a very soft, smooth consistency and can be removed from the tin with virtually no resistance. It becomes instantly pliable between the palms and spreads evenly through the hair. The scent is mild, classic and pleasantly understated, allowing the pomade to be combined easily with an aftershave or fragrance. Application Remove a very small amount from the tin with your fingertip and rub it between your palms. Work it evenly through dry or towel-dried hair, then shape the desired hairstyle using a comb or brush. In towel-dried hair, the pomade spreads particularly easily and creates a pronounced wet look. In dry hair, it is ideal for smoothing flyaways and adding targeted definition to individual sections. Always begin with the smallest possible amount. Gradually add more product if additional shine is required. Washing Out and Buildup As a traditional oil-based shine pomade, Murray’s Hair-Glo cannot be removed completely with water alone. Due to its soft, wax-free formula, however, it can be washed out more easily than Murray’s Superior or X-Tra Heavy. Depending on the amount applied, one thorough shampoo wash will often be sufficient. A small amount of remaining product can be used as a styling foundation for the following day. Packaged in a classic nostalgic metal tin. Made in the USA. Free from colourants and added preservatives. Murray’s Nu Nile Hair Slick – Classic Pomade with Medium Hold and Shine Classic oil-based pomade with medium hold, flexible styling and noticeable shine. Murray’s Nu Nile Hair Slick is easier to apply than the legendary Murray’s Superior and is ideal for slick backs, side parts, pompadours and wavy, curly or difficult-to-control hair. Made in the USA. Murray’s Nu Nile Hair Slick is a traditional pomade for anyone who wants dependable control and visible shine combined with easier application than Murray’s Superior. Its medium-firm, slightly sticky consistency provides plenty of grip for classic men’s hairstyles without being as hard or demanding as the legendary pomade in the orange tin. The hair remains flexible, combable and easy to restyle throughout the day. Hold, Shine and Finish Hold: medium Shine: medium to high Finish: classic, smooth and flexible Scent: mild and traditional Medium Hold for Classic Hairstyles Murray’s Nu Nile provides dependable medium hold and is suitable for both natural and clearly defined hairstyles. Its slightly sticky texture binds individual hairs together, controls flyaways and supports a stable shape without hardening completely. Compared with Murray’s Superior, Nu Nile is easier to scoop and more comfortable to distribute through the hair. Its hold is slightly softer but remains impressively dependable for a classic medium-hold pomade. Glossy Finish and Wet Look Nu Nile was developed for hairstyles that require both control and a polished shine. Depending on the amount applied and the moisture level of the hair, the finish ranges from a classic medium shine to a pronounced wet look. Applied to dry hair, the result appears more controlled and slightly more natural. In towel-dried hair, the pomade spreads particularly easily and creates a more intense shine. Suitable For Slick backs: for smoothly combed hairstyles with classic shine Side parts: for clean lines and flexible control Pompadours and quiffs: for moderate volume and dependable shape Wavy and curly hair: for defining and controlling the natural hair structure Difficult-to-control hair: for greater grip and control Wet looks: for a distinctly glossy, classic finish Consistency and Application Murray’s Nu Nile has a firm, creamy and slightly sticky consistency. It can be scooped from the tin with moderate pressure and quickly becomes more pliable when rubbed between the palms. It creates some tug during application but is considerably easier to distribute than Murray’s Superior or X-Tra Heavy. For an even result, apply several small amounts one after another. The Scent The fragrance has a mild, traditional barbershop character. It is noticeable immediately after application but remains pleasantly understated in the hair and combines easily with an aftershave or fragrance. Application Remove a small amount from the tin with your finger and rub it thoroughly between your palms. Work several small portions evenly through the hair from the roots to the ends. For stronger hold and a more controlled finish, apply Nu Nile to dry hair. In slightly damp or towel-dried hair, it spreads more easily and creates a more pronounced wet look. Shape the desired hairstyle with a comb or hairbrush. Gradually add more product if additional hold or shine is required. Restyling and Buildup Because Nu Nile does not harden, the hairstyle can be recombed or reshaped at any time. A little water or a few splashes of hair tonic are often sufficient to refresh the style the following day. A light amount of product remaining in the hair can deliberately be used as buildup. This usually reduces the amount of fresh pomade required over the following days. Washing Out As a traditional oil-based pomade, Murray’s Nu Nile cannot be removed completely with water alone. However, it can be washed out more easily than Murray’s Superior or X-Tra Heavy. Depending on the amount applied and the level of buildup, one, two or more washes with a thoroughly cleansing shampoo may be required. Packaged in a classic nostalgic metal tin. Made in the USA. Free from colourants and added preservatives. Contents: 85 g Ingredients: Petrolatum Parfum Amyl Cinnamal Benzyl Alcohol Cinnamyl Alcohol Hydroxycitronellal Isoeugenol Linalool

DAX Wave & Groom – Extra-Firm Hair Wax with Strong Hold Legendary oil-based hair dress with strong hold, low to medium shine and lasting restylability. DAX Wave & Groom controls thick, curly, wavy or unruly hair and is ideal for pompadours, slick backs, defined waves and textured short hairstyles. Formulated with lanolin and mineral oil. Made in the USA by DAX – the iconic American brand established in 1954. DAX Wave & Groom Hair Dress – also known among pomade enthusiasts as the “red DAX” – is one of the best-known classics of American barber and pomade culture. Its exceptionally firm and grippy formula provides dependable control for hairstyles that require strong, long-lasting hold. The oil-based formula of petrolatum, mineral oil and lanolin never hardens completely. As a result, the hair remains flexible despite the strong hold and can be reshaped at any time using your fingers, a comb or a brush. Hold, Shine and Finish Hold: strong Shine: low to medium Finish: grippy, controlled and flexible Scent: warm, classic and subtly sweet Strong Hold for Demanding Hair DAX Wave & Groom was developed for maximum control and clearly defined hairstyles. Its firm, slightly sticky consistency binds individual hairs together, supports a stable shape and is particularly suitable for thick, curly, wavy or difficult-to-control hair. Because the product does not harden like a gel, the hairstyle remains flexible and combable. Build the hold gradually by applying several small amounts instead of working a large quantity into the hair at once. Waves, Pompadours and Textured Styles The name Wave & Groom highlights one of the product’s traditional uses: the hair dress is ideal for enhancing natural waves, defining curls and controlling difficult sections of hair. At the same time, its strong formula provides enough stability for pompadours, slick backs and other classic barber styles. In short hair, individual strands can be shaped, spiked or clearly defined. Suitable For Pompadours and quiffs: for volume and strong stability Slick backs: for a compact, controlled shape Side parts: for precise lines and classic shine Ducktails and executive contours: for traditional barber styles Waves and curls: for defining and controlling the natural hair pattern Short textured hairstyles: for spiking, shaping and sculpting Thick or unruly hair: for particularly dependable control Low to Medium Shine Despite its firmness, DAX Wave & Groom does not create a completely dry or matte finish. It gives the hair a low to medium shine that looks polished and emphasises the traditional character of the hairstyle. Applied to dry hair, the finish appears slightly more natural. In slightly damp hair, the product spreads more easily and creates noticeably more shine. Lanolin and Mineral Oil Lanolin helps leave the hair feeling smooth and supports moisture retention. Mineral oil smooths the hair’s surface, visibly reduces frizz and supports the definition of waves and curls. The rich base prevents the hair from appearing dry or brittle during styling. At the same time, it remains flexible and easy to recomb. Consistency and Scent DAX Wave & Groom has a very firm, tough and slightly sticky consistency. The warmth generated between the palms makes the product more pliable and allows it to be distributed more evenly through the hair. The fragrance is warm, classic and subtly sweet. Delicate hints of honey, vanilla and nostalgic perfume notes give it a traditional barbershop character. Application Remove a small amount from the tin with your finger or the back of your fingernail. Rub it thoroughly between your palms until the product becomes softer and is evenly distributed. Work several small portions through dry or slightly damp hair from the roots to the ends. Shape the desired hairstyle using your fingers, a sturdy comb or a hairbrush. At low temperatures, the closed tin or the removed amount of product can be warmed carefully with a hairdryer. Gradually add further small amounts if additional hold is required. As a Base Pomade Many experienced pomade users apply DAX Wave & Groom as a base pomade. Its strong hold creates a stable foundation for the hairstyle. For additional shine or a smoother surface, a small amount of a softer pomade can then be applied lightly over the finished style. Beard and Moustache Styling The firm consistency can also be used to control and shape individual beard or moustache hairs. Apply only a very small amount sparingly to the desired sections. For precisely twisted moustache tips, however, a dedicated moustache wax will generally provide a more precise and drier hold. Buildup and Restyling As a traditional oil-based hair wax, DAX Wave & Groom is suitable for creating a multi-day buildup. Some of the product remains in the hair after washing and can be used as a stable styling foundation the following day. A little water or a few splashes of hair tonic are often sufficient to refresh the hairstyle. The hair can then be recombed and finished with a small amount of fresh product if required. Washing Out DAX Wave & Groom cannot be removed with water alone. Depending on the amount applied and the level of buildup, complete removal may require several washes with a thoroughly cleansing shampoo or a dedicated degreasing shampoo. Packaged in a classic red metal tin with a screw-top lid. Made in the USA. Free from colourants and added preservatives. Contents: 99 g (3.5 oz.) DAX Short & Neat combines coconut and castor oils with an exceptionally smooth styling base. Ideal for short to medium-length hairstyles, dry or dull-looking hair and use as a shine-enhancing finish over a firmer pomade. Made in the USA. DAX Short & Neat is an exceptionally soft and easy-to-use pomade for natural hairstyles with light hold and a polished shine. Its smooth consistency is effortless to scoop from the tin and distributes evenly through the hair without pulling. The rich formula contains coconut oil and castor oil. It smooths the hair’s surface, controls flyaways and makes dry or dull-looking hair appear more supple and glossy. Hold, Shine and Finish Hold: light Shine: natural to medium Finish: soft, smooth and flexible Scent: mild, clean and subtly powdery Light Hold for Natural Hairstyles DAX Short & Neat provides a relaxed, flexible hold and is particularly suitable for short to medium-length hair. It smooths individual sections, controls flyaways and gives the hairstyle a polished shape without making the hair stiff. Because the pomade never hardens, the hair retains its natural movement and can be restyled at any time using your fingers, a comb or a brush. Natural to Medium Shine Depending on the amount applied and the method of application, DAX Short & Neat creates a natural to medium shine. The finish appears more understated in dry hair, while application to slightly damp hair produces a more intense shine. The pomade is particularly suitable for anyone who wants to give their hair a polished appearance without creating an extremely glossy wet look. Suitable For Short to medium-length hairstyles: for light hold and natural control Slick backs: for relaxed, swept-back styles with a polished shine Side parts: for classic hairstyles with flexible shape Business styles: for a natural and tidy finish Dry or dull-looking hair: for greater suppleness and visible shine Flyaways and frizz: for smoothing individual sections of hair As a finishing pomade: for additional shine over a firmer pomade Coconut Oil and Castor Oil Coconut oil helps leave the hair feeling smooth and adds shine to dry-looking hair. Castor oil complements the rich formula and helps make the hair’s surface appear smoother. The combination is particularly suitable for hair that appears dry, brittle or dull. Due to the oil-rich formula, the pomade should be applied sparingly to fine hair to avoid weighing it down. Ideal as a Finishing Pomade DAX Short & Neat works exceptionally well as a topper or finishing pomade. Begin by applying a firmer pomade to create the required hold and basic shape. Then smooth a very small amount of Short & Neat lightly over the finished hairstyle. This gives the hair a smoother surface and additional shine without significantly reducing the hold already created. Consistency and Scent The pomade has a very soft, smooth consistency and can be removed from the tin with virtually no resistance. It becomes instantly pliable when rubbed between the palms and can be distributed evenly through the hair. The scent is mild, clean and subtly powdery. It remains pleasantly understated in the hair and combines easily with an aftershave or fragrance. Application Remove a small amount from the tin with your fingertip and rub it between your palms. Work it evenly through dry or slightly damp hair. Shape the desired hairstyle using your fingers, a comb or a brush. Gradually add another small amount if additional shine or control is required. When using it as a finishing pomade, apply only a very small amount and gently smooth it over the already styled hair. Dosage Begin with the smallest possible amount. The soft, oil-rich formula is highly economical and can quickly weigh down fine hair if applied too generously. For dry-looking ends or individual flyaways, a thin layer of product on the fingertips will often be sufficient. Restyling and Buildup Because the pomade never hardens, the hairstyle can be recombed or reshaped with your fingers at any time. A little water or a few splashes of hair tonic are often sufficient to refresh the style the following day. A light amount of remaining product can deliberately be left in the hair as buildup and make styling easier over the following days. Washing Out As a traditional oil-based pomade, DAX Short & Neat cannot be removed completely with water alone. Due to its soft consistency, however, it can be washed out more easily than firm wax pomades. Depending on the amount applied, one thorough shampoo wash will often be sufficient. Heavier buildup may require additional washes. Packaged in a classic metal tin. Made in the USA. Free from colourants and added preservatives. Contents: 99 g (3.5 oz.) DAX Green & Gold combines beeswax with jojoba, olive and safflower oils for smooth, glossy and more manageable hair. Particularly suitable for short hairstyles and thick, curly or dry-looking hair. Made in the USA. DAX Green & Gold combines the dependable control of a firm styling wax with the smooth properties of a traditional oil-based pomade. Its petrolatum- and beeswax-based formula provides strong, long-lasting hold without hardening completely. Jojoba, olive and safflower oils complement the rich formula. They help leave the hair feeling soft and well groomed, add shine and make even thick or difficult-to-control hair easier to shape. Hold, Shine and Finish Hold: strong Shine: natural to medium Finish: grippy, smooth and flexible Scent: mild, warm and subtly floral Strong Hold Without Hardening DAX Green & Gold provides a strong yet flexible hold. Beeswax gives the hair structure and grip, while the oil-based foundation keeps the hairstyle workable. Unlike gel or hairspray, the pomade never hardens completely. The hair can be reshaped throughout the day using your fingers, a comb or a brush. Build the hold gradually by applying several small amounts. Particularly Suitable for Short and Thick Hair The firm, slightly sticky texture is particularly well suited to short hairstyles where individual sections need to be defined, shaped or controlled. Thick, curly and unruly hair also benefits from the additional grip. Depending on your hair length and the amount applied, the pomade can create both compact classic hairstyles and textured looks with visible definition. Suitable For Short hairstyles: for shaping, sculpting and defining Pompadours: for volume and dependable stability Slick backs: for a controlled shape with natural shine Side parts: for precise, classic hairstyles Thick or curly hair: for additional control and definition Dry or dull-looking hair: for greater suppleness and visible shine Three Selected Plant Oils DAX Green & Gold contains three plant oils that complement its petrolatum- and beeswax-based styling formula: Jojoba oil: helps leave the hair feeling smooth and adds natural shine. Olive oil: helps make the hair appear soft, manageable and well groomed. Safflower oil: complements the rich formula and supports a smooth, glossy finish. The combination of wax and oils is particularly suitable for hair that can quickly appear brittle or dull when styled with dry products. Consistency and Scent The pomade has a firm, slightly tough consistency. The warmth of your palms makes it more pliable, allowing it to be distributed evenly through the hair. The fragrance is classic, warm and subtly floral. It remains pleasantly understated in the hair and combines well with an aftershave or fragrance. Application Remove a small amount from the tin with your finger or the back of your fingernail. Rub it thoroughly between your palms until the pomade becomes slightly softer and is distributed evenly. Work several small portions through dry or slightly damp hair from the roots to the ends. Shape the desired hairstyle with your fingers, a comb or a brush. Applied to dry hair, DAX Green & Gold provides greater grip and stronger control. In slightly damp hair, it spreads more easily and produces a little more shine. Dosage Begin with the smallest possible amount. The rich formula is highly economical and may weigh down fine hair if too much is applied. Gradually add more product if additional hold, definition or shine is required. Restyling and Buildup Because the pomade never hardens, the hairstyle can be recombed or reshaped at any time. A little water or a few splashes of hair tonic are often sufficient to refresh the style the following day. A light amount of remaining product can deliberately be left in the hair as buildup and used as a foundation for styling over the following days. Washing Out As a traditional oil- and wax-based pomade, DAX Green & Gold cannot be removed completely with water alone. Depending on the amount applied and the level of buildup, one or more washes with a thoroughly cleansing shampoo may be required. Packaged in a classic metal tin. Made in the USA. Free from added preservatives. Contents: 99 g (3.5 oz.) Yardley English Lavender Brilliantine – Legendary Lavender Pomade in a Glass Jar Legendary soft brilliantine with a light to medium hold, silky shine and an unmistakable fragrance of English lavender, fresh bergamot and oakmoss. This traditional hair pomade leaves the hair smooth and well groomed and is still presented in its nostalgic glass jar with a gold-coloured lid. Yardley English Lavender Brilliantine is one of the world's best-known classic lavender pomades. Its elegant fragrance and traditional packaging also made it synonymous with English men's grooming in Germany for many decades. Yardley is one of Britain's most historic fragrance, bath and body care brands. With this brilliantine, the company preserves a nearly forgotten chapter of traditional hair care: an exceptionally soft, fragranced pomade designed to provide smoothness, gentle shine and a polished appearance. What Is Brilliantine? The word “brilliantine” is derived from the French word “brillant”, meaning shiny. These fragranced grooming products became popular during the late 19th and early 20th centuries and were used to make the hair, beard and moustache smoother while providing a polished, glossy appearance. Unlike particularly firm styling pomades, a brilliantine focuses less on maximum hold and more on smoothness, shine, combability and fragrance. Yardley English Lavender Brilliantine continues to embody precisely this traditional character. Light to Medium Hold Yardley Brilliantine provides a light to medium, flexible hold. It gently shapes the hair, smooths flyaways and improves combability without allowing the hairstyle to harden. The hair remains soft, movable and easy to recomb at any time. This makes the brilliantine particularly suitable for traditional hairstyles that should appear polished and natural without looking visibly overstyled. Silky Shine and a Polished Finish The soft oil-based formula gives the hair a natural to pronounced silky shine. Depending on the amount applied, the result can range from subtly polished to a classic, elegant brilliantine finish. The pomade also works exceptionally well as a shine-enhancing finish over a firmer product. A thin layer is sufficient to add extra shine and smoothness to an already styled hairstyle. Which Hairstyles Is This Brilliantine Suitable For? Classic slick backs and side parts Polished business hairstyles Traditional contours and men's styles Relaxed pompadours with a gentle shine Smoothing flyaways Adding shine over a firmer pomade Conditioning dry or dull-looking ends Which Hair Types Is It Suitable For? Yardley English Lavender Brilliantine is particularly suitable for fine to normal hair and for dry or dull-looking hair. Due to its soft consistency, it should be used sparingly to avoid unnecessarily weighing down finer hair. On thicker hair, it can also be used as a conditioning finish or combined with a firmer pomade. The Legendary Lavender Fragrance The fragrance is the unmistakable heart of Yardley Brilliantine. Aromatic lavender meets fresh notes of bergamot, lemon, rosemary and eucalyptus. Geranium and sage give the composition a classic herbal character. Warm accords of cedarwood, oakmoss and musk add depth and elegantly complete the fragrance. The result is fresh, floral, subtly powdery and unmistakably British – a timeless gentleman's scent with historic character. Consistency and Styling The vibrant green brilliantine has an exceptionally soft and smooth consistency. It can be scooped from the glass jar with virtually no resistance and becomes instantly smooth between the palms. It distributes effortlessly through the hair without pulling. Even a small amount improves combability while adding a polished shine and the characteristic lavender fragrance. Application Scoop out a small amount with your fingertips and distribute it between your palms. Work it evenly through towel-dried or dry hair, then shape the desired hairstyle with a comb. Applying the brilliantine to towel-dried hair makes it particularly easy to distribute and creates a stronger shine. Use it more sparingly in dry hair to smooth flyaways and achieve a naturally polished finish. A hairbrush distributes the product particularly evenly and creates a smooth, consistent shape with an elegant shine and no visible stringiness. Washout As a traditional oil-based brilliantine, the product cannot be completely removed with water alone. However, its soft formula makes it easier to wash out than many firm pomades. Depending on the amount applied, a good shampoo is usually sufficient for thorough cleansing. The Nostalgic Packaging Yardley English Lavender Brilliantine is presented in a transparent glass jar with a gold-coloured aluminium screw-top lid. Its small historic label and vibrant green contents give the packaging an unmistakable vintage character. While glass jars were once common for pomades and hair creams, they have now become rare. This makes Yardley Brilliantine not only a classic grooming product but also a distinctive collector's item. Packaged in a nostalgic glass jar with a gold-coloured aluminium screw-top lid. Made in the United Arab Emirates. Free from added preservatives. THE one pomade of THE US country legend singer of the 1950s! Yes, this is indeed THE favorite pomade of a famous US country singer named Johnny C. The Royal Crown Pomade is soft, but chewy and slightly firmer than the Royal Crown Hair Dressing. It consists of just three ingredients—Vaseline, olive oil, and perfume—provides stable hold, gorgeous shine, and almost creates a fifties quiff by itself! The scent of aftershave and cotton candy is absolutely seductive, albeit very mild. Made in the USA since 1938. The "Royal Crown Pomade for Men" (formerly "Royal Crown Men's Pomade") is a legendary pomade from Memphis. It has been manufactured in the USA using the same recipe since 1938. In the 1940s, this was the favorite pomade of American heartthrob and pilots. In the 1950s, it shone on the heads of the biggest country and rock 'n' roll stars. Today, it is one of the rarest pomades in the world. It is similar to Royal Crown Hair Dressing, which is a little softer and has a very mild, waxy scent. In the 1950s, Royal Crown Men's Pomade was so popular that it was used by not only a well-known rock 'n' roll singer, but also by country legend Johnny C. When you put this pomade in your hair and look in the mirror, you realize: Wow, yes, that's his pomade! The Royal Crown Men's Pomade is a must-have based on its history alone. The fact that it was used by the biggest music stars of the 1950s is an absolute must-have. The Effect The "Royal Crown Pomade for Men" is a visual feast alone. It brightens up not only every bathroom, but also every hairstyle. In the hair itself, it provides excellent, stable hold (similar to a medium-strength hair gel) that lasts all day, and it also offers a truly beautiful shine. It feels and looks almost like hair gel. Like the Royal Crown Hair Dressing, it consists of only three ingredients: petroleum jelly, olive oil, and perfume. The main difference, however, is the sweet scent, which is truly addictive and far too mild! What hairstyles is this product suitable for? The Royal Crown Men's Pomade almost creates an Elvis quiff by itself. It gives a beautiful shine in the style of the 1950s and a very stable hold, as seen in celebrity photos of the time. It is perfect for styling and styling, but less so for styling unruly hair. Anyone who likes country and rock 'n' roll stars of the 1950s/60s will love this pomade and, visually alone, will get closer to their idols! For very strong hold or short hairstyles, like crew cuts or flat tops, you should use something stronger, like Murray's Superior, DAX Wave & Groom, Don Draper Strong, or Nu Nile. For curly hair, Royal Crown gives a beautiful shine and emphasizes the curls, but it's too soft to tame. In those cases, you should opt for firmer pomades, like Black & White, Nu Nile, DAX Green & Gold. Or very firm pomades, like DAX Wave & Groom, Murray's Superior, or those from High Life: High Life Heavy, or the two Voodoo Brew pomades. Who is this product suitable for? For fans of the 1950s/60s For fans of country and rock 'n' roll singers (for styling with THE original pomade!!) For packaging connoisseurs The packaging The Royal Crown Men's Pomade shines like a Las Vegas Christmas tree ornament in the 1950s. Since 1938, this pomade was packaged in a cardboard box until recently. The lid was made of lightweight tin. The base was taken from a tin can and was very sturdy. The overall shape was extremely solid and simply beautiful. The predominant metallic red, the white and green lettering, the stars and crown: all in all, it was an incredibly beautiful package. After being missing for a few years, the pomade has now returned in plastic packaging, as the old cardboard box manufacturer in the USA unfortunately no longer exists. But that doesn't detract from the joy of this unique pomade. Consistency and Fragrance The Royal Crown Men's Pomade has a medium, almost firm, consistency. The color looks like a glassy, melted candle wax. But the scent of this pomade is the highlight: it is reminiscent of a mixture. A blend of lavender aftershave and cotton candy. But like a moment of happiness on a beautiful summer night, it reveals itself to the curious nose only once (!). If you want to take a second or third sniff, you don't have a chance - the scent has long since vanished. Once the pomade is in your hair, every gentle - and unfortunately very rare - waft of this fragrance conjures up a smile. How to use Take a fingerful of Royal Crown. Rub it between your fingers. Andpreferably after shampooing, massage it into towel-dried hair - from root to tip. Also against the direction of hair growth. Repeat this 3-4 times and then comb into the desired shape. Of course, the pomade can also be used wonderfully on dry hair. Styling Tips 1.) If you've moved around too much and a strand of hair has gotten out of place, no problem: just comb through your hair a few times and your style will be back in place. 2.) You can achieve even more shine with a traditional hairbrush, which distributes the pomade better over the hair's surface and gives the style a piano-black look. The pomade is packaged in a plastic container. Made in the USA. (No dyes or preservatives). Contents: 142 g (5 oz). Ingredients: Petrolatum Olive oil Perfume

The legendary pomade from Memphis / Tennessee. This is pure Rock'n Roll! The Royal Crown Hair Dressing is an absolute treat: As the manufacturer confirmed to us, the Royal Crown was proven to be THE favorite pomade of a popular Rock'n Roll singer (Mr. E. P. from Memphis / Tennessee). A sample can even be found in his former mansion, now turned into a museum, on a table next to his bed. Made in the USA since 1951. The Royal Crown Hair Dressing is a legendary pomade. It has been made according to the same recipe in the USA since 1951. In the 1950s it shone on the heads of the greatest Rock and Roll stars. And still today it is one of the most fascinating pomades in the USA. It is similar to the Royal Crown Men's Pomade from 1938, which is a bit stronger and has an amazing sweet scent. In the fifties, the Royal Crown was so famous that in 1956 it was even promoted in a refreshing and enthusiastic way by the Rock and Roll legend Little Richard. His commercial can be found on the CD "Shag on Down By Union Hall" as number 15. It surely can also be found on YouTube. The Royal Crown Men's Pomade is a must just because of the beautiful packaging. But the fact that it was used by the greatest music stars of the 1950s is an absolute no brainer. The effect This soft pomade gives an excellent, light to medium hold and a really brilliant shine without looking greasy or oily to the touch. It also improves the hair structure and dry, brittle hair gets softer and more supple. Even if you really put a lot in your hair, the hairstyle does not look oily or heavy, but incomparably well-groomed and super shiny. The Royal Crown gives the hairstyle a nice hold for the whole day. And if you should go wild, simply pull out the comb and style your hair back in shape. What hairstyles is this product suitable for The Royal Crown Hair Dressing is best for short to medium long hair. It is perfect for hairstyles that are layed back (slickback) in the style of the 1930-40s. If you like Rock'n Roll, you will love this pomade !! Like the Royal Crown Pomade, it gives a divine sheen in the style of the 1950s and nice hold, as you know it from Rock'n Roll star pictures of this era. For a very strong hold or short hairstyles, such as crew cuts or flat tops, you should use something stronger, such as Murray's Superior, DAX Wave & Groom or Dapper Dan Strong. The Royal Crown gives curly hair a beautiful shine and emphasizes the curls, but it is too soft to tame. You should rather go for firmer pomades, such as Black & White, Nu Nile, DAX Green & Gold. Or with very firm pomades, such as DAX Wave & Groom, Dapper Dan Strong, Murray's Superior or those from High Life: High Life Heavy, Voodoo Brew or Voodo Brew 2. For whom is this product suitable? For fans of movies from the 1950s (for a really well-groomed hairstyle) For fans of the 1950s and Rock'n Roll singers from Memphis (for styling with THE original pomade !!) For lovers of well-groomed, classic hairstyles without looking overly styled For short to medium long hair (for straightening and combing back) The packaging The Royal Crown used to be until recently packed in a cardboard box with a bottom and lid made of light sheet metal. Since the old packaging manufacturer does not exist anymore, the Royal Crown Hair Dressing is packed in a plastic tin. However, this ingenious pomade tempts to put a lot in the hair. But that doesn't hurt at all. Consistency and fragrance The Royal Crown has a soft consistency. The color is light, waxy, almost glassy. The scent is subtle, but still present and reminfs of a leather wax with a hint of lime or even of a shaving powder of an old US barbershop. The application Take a finger of the Royal Crown Pomade. Rub it between your fingers or palms. And after shampooing, massage into the damp hair - from the hair root to the tip of the hair. Repeat this 3-4 times and then comb into the desired shape. The pomade can of course also be used wonderfully on dry hair. 1.) If you have moved too much and a strand of hair should dance out of line, no problem: comb through your hair a couple of times and your hairstyle is back in shape. 2.) You'll get even more shine by using a traditional hairbrush, which distributes the pomade better on the hair surface and gives the hairstyle a patent leather look. The pomade is packaged in a plastic tin. Made in the USA (Without colors or preservatives) Content: 7.25 oz (206 g) Ingredients: Petrolatum Olive oil Fragrance

DAX Pomade – Soft Oil-Based Pomade with Botanical Oils and High Shine A traditional soft oil-based pomade from DAX, the American manufacturer founded in 1954. The formula contains lanolin, castor oil, coconut oil, olive oil and bergamot oil to give the hair smoothness and natural-to-high shine. Ideal as a lightweight styling pomade, for smoothing dry-looking ends or as a high-shine topper over a firmer pomade. Made in the USA. DAX Pomade is one of the traditional classics among American oil-based pomades. Its exceptionally soft, creamy consistency allows for effortless application, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced pomade enthusiasts. Even a small amount gives dry or dull-looking hair a well-groomed appearance, additional smoothness and attractive shine. The pomade provides light hold, controls flyaways and remains permanently flexible and combable. The traditional formula is based on petrolatum, mineral oil and lanolin. Castor oil, coconut oil and olive oil complement the formula and support a smooth hair feel. Bergamot oil contributes to the pomade’s fresh, classic fragrance profile. Hold, shine and finish Hold: light Shine: medium to high Finish: smooth, classic and glossy Fragrance: subtle, fresh, citrusy and clean Light hold and intense shine The defining feature of DAX Pomade is its traditional shine. Depending on the amount applied, it creates a naturally glossy to intensely shiny finish without setting the hair hard. The light hold is suitable for relaxed, flexible hairstyles and smoothing individual flyaways. The hair remains soft, movable and can be reshaped throughout the day using a comb or brush. When applied sparingly, the pomade gives the hair a polished, natural shine. A larger amount creates a more pronounced traditional pomade look with considerably greater shine. Suitable for DAX Pomade is particularly suitable for normal, thick, dry or dull-looking hair. Due to its light hold, it is ideal for hairstyles where smoothness, flexible control and shine are more important than especially firm fixation. Slick backs: for a sleek, glossy finish Side parts: for classic comb lines and flexible hold Pompadours and ducktails: when combined with a firmer base pomade Natural everyday hairstyles: for light control and polished shine Dry-looking ends: for smoothing and additional softness As a shine topper: over a firmer pomade for additional shine Can be used as a shine topper Many pomade enthusiasts use DAX Pomade as a finishing product over a firmer pomade. First create the desired hairstyle using a firm- or heavy-hold pomade. Then rub a very small amount of DAX Pomade between your palms and lightly smooth it over the surface of the finished hairstyle. This largely preserves the strong hold of the base pomade while giving the hair considerably more elegant shine. Consistency and fragrance The green pomade has a pleasantly soft, creamy consistency. It can be scooped from the jar without resistance, quickly distributed between the palms and worked effortlessly through the hair. The fragrance is subtle and traditional. Fresh citrus notes and delicate bergamot combine to create a clean, uncomplicated fragrance profile that remains pleasantly understated. How to use Scoop a small amount of DAX Pomade from the jar with your fingertips and rub it between your palms. Distribute evenly through dry or slightly damp hair from the roots to the ends. Applying the pomade to dry hair provides slightly more control and definition. It distributes especially evenly through slightly damp hair and creates a sleeker finish with more shine. Shape the hair as desired using a comb or brush. For additional shine, gradually and sparingly apply more product. Buildup and washing out As a traditional oil-based pomade, DAX Pomade cannot be removed completely with water alone. A light product residue – the typical buildup – can deliberately be used as a foundation for styling over the following days. A little water or hair tonic makes the hair smooth and combable again the next morning. For complete removal, a thorough cleansing shampoo is recommended. Depending on the amount applied, several washes may be required. Presented in a transparent plastic jar with a screw-top lid. Made in the USA. Free from added preservatives. Contents: 100 g (3.5 oz.) The legendary “motor oil shine” lasts all day and is easy to control. Which Hairstyles Is This Product Best Suited For? Blue Magic Pressing Oil is perfect for classic, neat hairstyles such as slick backs, pompadours, and well-groomed everyday styles. It can be used for daily styling, regular hair care, or as a high-shine finish for special occasions. It is also great for taming unruly hair. For very short hair or styles that require extremely strong hold (such as crew cuts or flat tops), a firmer pomade is recommended. Who Is This Product For? For fans of extreme shine For lovers of 1950s style For fans of classic US TV shows from the 50s and 60s For lovers of traditional American pomades For all hair types to smooth and condition The Packaging Originally, Blue Magic was packaged in a beautiful red cardboard box with an aluminum lid, resembling a small magical treasure chest. Today it comes in a plastic jar, but the contents are exactly the same as in 1953, when rock ’n’ roll began to conquer the music world. Texture and Scent Blue Magic has a very soft texture and is easy to scoop and spread. In the jar, it appears in a highly glossy, deep blue color. The scent starts off mild and slightly sweet with a leathery note, later developing a nostalgic character with a hint of fresh citrus. In the hair, the fragrance remains subtle and pleasant. How to Use Blue Magic is best applied after showering to towel-dried hair. A very small amount is enough to achieve maximum shine. For classic hairstyles: Rub a fingertip of pomade between your fingers and lightly stroke through the hair. Repeat if necessary, then comb into the desired shape. For hair care: Massage a fingertip of pomade thoroughly from roots to ends, then style as desired. Styling Tip: 1930s Hairstyle For a traditional, close-to-the-head 1930s look, work the pomade into the hair in stages, combing in between. Briefly applying a warm, damp towel makes the hair especially soft and shiny. Finish with a soft-bristle brush for maximum gloss. The pomade comes in a plastic jar. Made in the USA. (No preservatives) Content: 125 g (5 oz) Ingredients: Petrolatum Lanolin Lecithin Mineral Oil Fragrance Colorants: Green 6, Violet 2 What Do Our Customers Say About This Product? Stefan: “This pomade is almost like a hair gel. It is very easy to apply, making it ideal for pomade beginners. The scent reminds me of a mix of sea and beach, although it is not very intense. It washes out easily. After some time in the hair, it really shows its strengths. You can wear a cap or hat, quickly comb your hair again, and the style is back in place. I would definitely buy this pomade again.” Florian M. from Kirchdorf: “It’s great fun trying out different pomades! The shine of Blue Magic is insane!” Customer Reviews for “Blue Magic Pressing Oil, 5 oz” Mr. Fugbaum – 15/11/2016 Best Shine Pomade For me, no other pomade comes close to Blue Magic Pressing Oil when it comes to shine. The hold is below average, but for a slick back it does not need to be mixed with other pomades. It smells strongly of leather. Unfortunately, the packaging is not very sturdy. Thomas – 15/08/2016 Great The color: amazing. The scent: leather? Yes, definitely… very good. The hold: a light pomade; you may need to use a bit more. Overall: highly recommended. It gets top marks from me. Bernd – 07/08/2016 Reference When It Comes to Shine Pomades I use Blue Magic mainly as a top coat over a firm pomade or its residue. In the jar, the intense blue color looks fantastic. The scent is a matter of taste, leathery and slightly edgy, but not strong in the hair. It gives the hair an extremely strong shine – the comparison to motor oil is spot on. The shine level is easy to control and lasts a very long time. It also revives firmer pomades very well. I can recommend it to anyone who loves extreme shine. Leif – 31/10/2015 Nice Scent and Light Hold The scent is very subtle and works especially well in the hair. It really does smell like a leather jacket. The hold is weak, but it is perfect as a second layer over a firm pomade to add shine. That is exactly where this pomade excels. McQueen, the Pomade Messi – 02/04/2015 A True Shine Piece It doesn’t get much more vintage than this. The hold is very light, but the shine is outstanding. The motor oil comparison is definitely not exaggerated. The scent is unique, subtle, and very masculine. Perfect as a shine top coat over a matte, firm pomade.
