Heavy homebrew pomade with tobacco-vanilla scent Strong hold pomade with a completely new tobacco & vanilla scent interpretation by MG Pomade. Hand brewed in the home kitchen in Berlin. MG stands for Michael Gillert, a big Wild West fan and pomade addict from Berlin. With now the seventh hand-made pomade in different strengths, scents and only the best ingredients, there is something for everyone. Big word of honor! The hand-drawn, elegant barber on the tin already indicates that this is a pomade for real gentlemen. The barber is a STRONG HOLD pomade from MG Pomades. Hardly any other pomade has such a harmonious design, scent and product. Working it into the hair is pleasant and comparatively easy for experienced users of very firm pomades. A very successful pomade that offers first-class hold all day long and also gets curls or unruly hair under control. A medium-strong shine is clearly present - typical for the firmness. You need a little bit of strength to remove the pomade, this is best done with the back of your nail. Rubbed between the hands, the Barber shows its delicate side and quickly becomes supple for such a "solid" pomade and has an excellent "breakdown" without flakes or anything similar. At first, a somewhat heavy scent of tobacco develops. But within a very short time, the vanilla note comes along, not too sweet, just right and harmonizing perfectly with the stronger tobacco note. Finally, we notice a spicy aftertaste, which rounds off the entire scent perfectly. The aroma is something special and also the unique selling point of this handmade pomade. What we can really highlight here is how easy it is to work the Strong-Hold Pomade into the skin. It remains flexible and by no means gives you a "helmet feeling". The next morning, all you need to freshen up is a few squirts of hair tonic, restyle and you're done. This also makes it a very economical pomade. As we've come to expect from MG pomades, only the best ingredients are used and, as always, without any unnecessary ingredients. Last but not least, we have the point of washability. What can we say: We are extremely surprised at how easy it is to wash out this "strong" pomade. Experienced users know how difficult and laborious it can sometimes be to wash out very strong pomades. Here, too, the barber shows his gentle side. We were able to wash out three full fingers of pomade in just two washes with a generous amount of shampoo. Additional information: Due to the high wax content in the pomade, it is possible that a "puck" forms in the can, especially in the colder seasons. This means that the pomade contracts and could rotate in the can when removed. However, this is not a defect in the product. The pomade is best used at a room temperature of around 22 degrees. At this temperature, the pomade will settle smoothly in the tin. If this is not the case, press your thumb into the middle of the pomade when removing it, while at the same time using the back of your thumbnail of your other hand to push the pomade out in small amounts along the edge.
