The matte pomade "Dry Hold" of the Australian brand King Brown is a so-called semi-pomade. I.e. a classic pomade with traditional ingredients, such as petrolatum, mineral oil, paraffin and microwax. But also partly with water and modern ingredients. The result is more of a firm cream looking pomade.
The pomade titels itself a "dry hold"and gives the hair not only a light to medium-firm and stable hold, but in fact a completely luster-free look. With the King Brown matt pomade, the hairstyle feels very light, as if you have nothing in it. The King Brown Dry Hold Pomade is cream colored and more reminiscent of a very firm hair cream. The scent is sporty, masculine, mild, timelessly chic, with notes of leather and fresh cedar. When removed from the can, the firm, creamy consistency shows. However, it is very pleasant to put into the hair - you do not need much - and the comb has no trouble spreading the pomade in the hair. The hairstyle also lasts a working day through.
In the hair, the King Brown Matte Pomade gives a loose to medium firm but stable hold, thanks to petrolatum, beeswax and carnauba wax. The included kaolin and quartz remove any shine from the hairstyle. Washing out works also quite well with the water-soluble King Brown Dry Hold Pomade. Thanks to all the chemistry, all you need is water and shampoo.
However, the highlight of the King Brown Dry Hold Pomade is its artistically high-quality - and even iconic - can design in greenish gray, orange and silver and with decorative curvatures. The optical focal point is the Australian poisonous snake King Brown, as well as the matching snaky lettering. The name is actually an allusion to the founder Dean Brown. With just 2.6 fl.oz (75 ml), the King Brown offers a bit less than a Barber Mind Roots or Uppercut Matty Clay. Though the amount is correct - we weighed it and there is even more pomade in the can - and every King Brown pomade is not only a real eye-catcher but also an elegant, premium product.
Directions:
Massage some pomade into dry hair. For a bit more hold you take more pomade. Now just comb in shape and you are set. An additional brush takes out any shine.

Gute Pomade mit seidenmattem Glanz, aber Verbesserungspotential bei der Verpackung
Ich habe die King Brown Matte Pomade jetzt seit etwa 4 Wochen im Einsatz und möchte meine Erfahrungen teilen. Insgesamt bin ich zufrieden, aber es gibt ein paar Punkte, die ich anmerken möchte. Die Verpackung in der eckigen Dose ist optisch ein echtes Highlight. Ein häufiger Kritikpunkt ist der Deckel, der nicht sehr fest schließt. Dies kann ich bestätigen, aber mit einer einfachen Lösung – wenn man die Längsseiten der Dose leicht nach außen biegt, schließt der Deckel mit mehr Spannung und bleibt sicher. Alternativ lässt sich der Deckel auch mit einem Gummiband oder Tesafilm fixieren. In dieser Preisklasse sollte ein solches Problem jedoch nicht auftreten.
Die Anwendung der Pomade ist unkompliziert: Zunächst etwas fester, lässt sie sich später leicht entnehmen und gut im Haar verteilen. Der Halt reicht für den ganzen Tag, aber bei kürzeren Haaren können sich einzelne Strähnen etwas lösen. Ein Nachkämmen ist problemlos möglich, ohne dass der Halt verloren geht.
Den ‚Dry Hold Matt-Effekt‘ kann ich nicht bestätigen. Die Haare fühlen sich nicht trocken an, und der Glanz bleibt eher seidenmatt als ganz matt. Der Duft ist schwer zu beschreiben – er ist sportlich und würzig, ohne dabei aufdringlich zu sein. Er verfliegt schnell, was ich als angenehm empfinde.
Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis finde ich etwas unangemessen. Für die King Brown Matte Pomade erhält man nur 75 Gramm, was im Vergleich zu anderen Pomaden relativ wenig ist, vor allem, wenn man bedenkt, dass die Dose ein Problem mit dem Deckel hat.
Insgesamt ist die King Brown Matte Pomade eine solide Wahl für alle, die eine matte Pomade suchen. Sie hat zwar ihre kleinen Mängel, aber die Vorteile überwiegen. Ich würde sie trotz der genannten Kritikpunkte wieder kaufen und weiterempfehlen. Von mir gibt es 7 von 10 Sternen.

Empfehlung
Ich verwende lieber klassisch ölbasierte Pomaden, möchte aber manchmal gern etwas haben, was einfach nach dem Waschen restlos verschwindet.
Und das ist mit der King Brown Matte Pomade definitiv gegeben (verwende das Reuzel Daily Shampoo)!
Die Aufmachung der Dose ist wirklich sehenswert. Zunächst einmal macht die rechteckige Form im Gegensatz zu den sonst runden Dosen im Regal echt was her.
Der Duft der Pomade ist leider etwas seifig und trifft nicht meinen Geschmack. Allerdings ist er auch nicht aufdringlich und nur wahrnehmbar, wenn man an der Pomade selbst oder an den Fingern riecht. Im Haar ist er schnell verflogen.
Die Entnahme empfinde ich (gerade bei der Erstanwendung) als relativ schwierig. Hat man dann aber doch schnell raus.
Die Einarbeitung geht ohne Probleme und liefert einen relativ festen Halt. Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Pomaden auf Wasserbasis komme ich damit sehr gut klar.
Obwohl die Pomade als matt beschrieben wird, gibt sie einen leichten Glanz. Stört mich aber nicht weiter.
Top-Produkt! Für Menge und den dafür geforderten Preis gibt es aber ein paar Abzüge, daher nur 8 von 10 Punkten.

a perfect choice
Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen tollen Pomaden, ist dies die einzige, die einen gewöhnlichen Mann nicht mit fruchtigen-carmelligen-schoko-kokos-candy-was-weiss-ich Gerüchen belästigt. Der Duft ist dezent und die Pomade hält, was sie verspricht. Dass der Deckel nicht schliesst, kann ich nicht bestätigen.

geht so
jemand der trockenes haar hatt bei dem hilf noch nicht einmal nase haare bei diesen produkt. Aber bei allen anderen haaren funktioniert das produkt sehr gut. das einzige warum dieses produkt so wenig punktzahl bekommt ist das der deckel nicht schließt. einer meiner kollegen hatt das produkt auch bestellt und bei ihm wahr es genau so. dafür kann pomadeshop überhaubt nichts dazu aber der hersteller kan was dazu. ich habe den king brown original pomaden deckel mal mit dem king brown matte pomade deckel verglichen und der von der matte pomade ist etwas niedricker. es gibt auch ein youtuber der das gleiche problem mit dem deckel hatt und das ist 2 jahre alt.
fazit: Tolle Marke Tolle Produkte aber wen man doch schon weiß das der deckel schon über 2 jahre nicht richtig schließt dan braucht man als hersteller sich nicht zu wunder das man dieses produkt nicht mehr kauft.

Spitzenmäßige Clay Pomade
Tolle Clay Pomade mit klassischen Inhaltsstoffen einer Pomade kombiniert mit Tonerde und etwas Chemie, damit diese sich gut auswaschen lässt mit Wasser und etwas Shampoo.
Der Duft erinnert mich eher an einfache Tonerde und ist nur aus der wunderschönen hochwertigen Dose zu vernehmen, sobald im Haar eingearbeitet merkt man davon nichts mehr.
Dies ist meine erste Clay Pomade und ich bin hellauf begeistert. Styling Eigenschaften einer klassischen Pomade, die Haare bleiben den ganzen Tag ohne Probleme kämmbar und dennoch hat man einen matten Effekt und einfache Auswaschbarkeit bei mittlerem Halt, welcher aber bei meinen feinen hellen Haaren locker ausreicht - Es reicht sogar gerade noch für einen leichten Pomp.
Die Dose könnte etwas größer sein, wenn man die Ergiebigkeit einer klassischen Pomade gewohnt ist, ist man überrascht, wie schnell sich die Dose leert. Außerdem ist der Preis etwas happig für die Menge.
Alles in allem kann ich die King Brown Matte Pomade sehr empfehlen, wenn man einfache Auswaschbarkeit, matten Look haben möchte und dennoch auf Kämmbarkeit nicht verzichten möchte.
