The Oil-Free Alternative to Hair Tonic GOLD

Don Draper Hair Tonic YELLOW should not be confused with oil-containing Don Draper Hair Tonic GOLD. GOLD uses olive oil esters, glycerin and additional conditioning ingredients to create a richer shine, while YELLOW remains considerably lighter and completely oil-free.

PPG-40 Butyl Ether provides a smooth hair feel and silky shine without producing the typical greasy film of a traditional oil tonic. This makes YELLOW especially suitable for fine to normal hair and for those seeking an uncomplicated everyday tonic.

Light Control without Stickiness

The tonic gives the hair light and flexible control. It does not harden or form a rigid styling film. The hairstyle remains movable and can be rearranged at any time with the fingers, a comb or a hairbrush.

Used sparingly on dry hair, YELLOW supports natural structure and fullness. Applied to towel-dried hair, it improves manageability and provides an excellent foundation for blow-drying.

Ideal as a Pre-Styler before Pomade

Applied before pomade, Don Draper Hair Tonic YELLOW helps the styling product distribute evenly. It can make pomade easier and more controlled to apply, particularly in dry or unruly hair.

The formula contains Zingiber Officinale Root Extract. Ginger root extract complements the alcohol-based formulation and contributes to a pleasantly fresh and well-groomed scalp sensation during massage.

The fragrance recalls classic men's grooming from the 1950s. Fruity notes of mandarin and orange combine with gentle lavender to create a fresh, elegant and pleasantly nostalgic composition.

The fragrance is more noticeable immediately after application before gradually becoming subtler. It combines easily with pomades, aftershaves and perfumes.

The Don Draper Styling Routine

After washing, massage Hair Tonic YELLOW into towel-dried hair before blow-drying or combing it directly into shape. Apply a Don Draper Pomade afterwards for stronger hold.

Use the wide-tooth section of the Don Draper Premium Comb to distribute the product evenly. The finer section is ideal for creating a precise parting, laying down the sides and completing the final details. Its iconic scent of Damask rose, lavender, cinnamon, clove, citrus peel, pine and vanilla is one of the defining fragrances of traditional pomade and barbershop culture.

Sweet Georgia Brown Hair Tonic also provides only very light hold but conditions the hair with glycerin and Coconut Oil Esters. It is particularly well suited as preparation for a classic Sweet Georgia Brown Pomade.

Directions

Apply a few drops or splashes to dry or towel-dried hair and massage carefully into the hair and scalp. Shape with the fingers, a Don Draper comb or a hairbrush.

On dry hair, the tonic supports structure, light fullness and refreshed styling. On towel-dried hair, it improves manageability and prepares the hair for blow-drying or pomade.

The following morning, restyle with a small amount of Hair Tonic YELLOW or a Don Draper Pomade. The tonic does not have to be washed out immediately.

Tip: During hot weather, the bottle can be kept in the refrigerator. Chilled Hair Tonic YELLOW provides additional refreshment when applied, although it does not contain strongly cooling menthol.
