Consistency and scent The Brilliantine is soft, similar to Royal Crown Hair Dressing, and a lush green. When you unscrew the jar, the surface looks like green piano lacquer. And if you dip your finger in, the pomade looks like shiny, delicately ridged glass. Although it is soft, it does not feel greasy. Its scent is clear, lemony, refreshing and timeless, with notes of lavender, bergamot, rosemary, eucalyptus, geranium, sage, cedarwood, moss and musk.
