Work evenly through clean, towel-dried or dry hair before styling with the hands, a comb or a hairbrush. Begin with a small amount and build gradually if required. This provides the greatest control over the balance between hold and shine. In towel-dried hair: Easier distribution, greater shine and a particularly smooth finish. In dry hair: More definition, stronger control and slightly less shine. For fine hair: Apply sparingly and concentrate primarily on the lengths and ends. For curls: Work through with the fingers and gather individual curls as required. Restyling The hairstyle can be refreshed during the day with the fingers or a lightly dampened comb. A small quantity of water reactivates the water-based formula and makes the hair workable once again. Additional product is frequently unnecessary. Washing Out Captain Fawcett Classic Pomade is considerably easier to remove than a traditional oil-based pomade. Warm water and an ordinary shampoo will generally be sufficient.
