Begin at the roots and draw the brush through to the ends. For longer beards, first brush upwards from beneath to loosen the hair. Then brush downwards to create the desired shape. When using beard oil or balm, first work the product evenly into the beard and skin with the fingers. Brush thoroughly until the product is evenly distributed and the desired shape has been achieved. Do not use excessive pressure. The bristles should penetrate the beard and massage the skin comfortably without scratching it.
