Description

Product information "Alpa Windsor Cologne (red)"

ALPA Windsor Eau de Cologne – Floral-Spicy Vintage Fragrance with Citrus & Musk

A traditional Czech eau de cologne with a fresh, floral-spicy and warm fragrance character. Citrus and gently bitter impressions meet floral notes and a sweet powdery musk base. Free from menthol and therefore softer in fragrance than Windsor After Shave. Contains 80% alcohol by volume and is presented in a thick-walled glass bottle.

ALPA Windsor Eau de Cologne is a nostalgic men’s fragrance from the traditional Czech manufacturer ALPA. Its composition combines clear citrus freshness with floral, spicy and warm musk notes. The result evokes classic European colognes of the 1950s and feels refined, distinctive and pleasantly understated.

The Windsor range is manufactured by ALPA a.s. in Velké Meziříčí, Moravia. The company is best known for its ALPA herbal rubbing alcohol, produced since 1913, and is one of the Czech Republic’s most established cosmetics manufacturers.

The fragrance

ALPA generally describes the Windsor fragrance as woody-citrus with aromatic herbal elements. In the eau de cologne, softer floral and sweetly spiced facets are also noticeable, making it rounder and more perfumed than the matching aftershave.

  • Fragrance character: Citrus, floral, spicy and warm
  • Opening: Fresh, clear and gently bitter
  • Development: Floral and subtly sweet notes
  • Base: Powdery musk and warm spice accords

On the skin, the fragrance may suggest dry bergamot, sweet vanilla and creamy, soapy freshness. These are not officially declared individual fragrance notes, but impressions that describe the overall composition.

Although the cologne contains no menthol, its clear citrus and herbal opening can initially feel almost cooling. As it develops, the fragrance becomes warmer, more floral and increasingly powdery.

Windsor Cologne or Windsor After Shave?

ALPA Windsor Eau de Cologne and Windsor After Shave share a related classic fragrance character but differ considerably in application and performance.

  • Windsor Eau de Cologne: 80% alcohol by volume, without menthol or allantoin, with a softer and sweeter powdery fragrance.
  • Windsor After Shave: 70% alcohol by volume, with menthol and allantoin, cooler and specifically formulated for post-shave use.

The cologne is intended primarily for fragrance and refreshment, while the aftershave is expressly formulated for freshly shaved facial skin. The two bottles can also be distinguished by the red identifying stripe used on the cologne label.

Who is ALPA Windsor Cologne suitable for?

  • Admirers of classic European men’s fragrances
  • Fans of floral-spicy and powdery vintage colognes
  • A refined and understated everyday appearance
  • Spring, summer and mild autumn weather
  • Collectors and enthusiasts of traditional Czech grooming products
  • Those who find Windsor After Shave too cooling or mentholated

Directions

Pour a few drops into the palms and apply sparingly to the neck, cheeks, forearms or upper body. Alternatively, a small amount may be applied carefully to a pocket square.

Use the cologne on intact skin only. Discontinue use if irritation develops. Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately and thoroughly with plenty of water.

Only partly suitable as an aftershave

Containing 80% alcohol by volume, Windsor Cologne has a considerably higher alcohol content than the matching Windsor After Shave. As it also contains neither menthol nor soothing allantoin, it should be used primarily as an eau de cologne.

The high alcohol content may sting strongly on freshly shaved, dry or sensitive skin. Windsor After Shave or another dedicated post-shave product is the better choice when targeted aftercare is required.

The presentation

The eau de cologne is supplied in a sturdy, thick-walled glass bottle with a nostalgic ALPA label. Its simple design reinforces the fragrance’s traditional character and recalls classic pharmacy and barbershop products from Central and Eastern Europe.

Containing 100 ml, the bottle is suitable for everyday use, a wash bag or as a small gift for admirers of traditional fragrances.

Complementary products and alternatives

Those seeking a distinctive American barbershop fragrance specifically designed for post-shave application will find the Don Draper After Shaves premium alternatives. They combine traditional aftershave freshness with distinctive compositions inspired by American men’s grooming of the 1960s.

For hair care, choose Sweet Georgia Brown Hair Tonic, which is also produced in Moravia. Its formula contains glycerin, creatine and allantoin, improves manageability and prepares the hair for traditional pomades. Its warm, gently powdery barbershop scent pairs particularly well with the nostalgic character of Windsor Cologne.

Those preferring a fresher and more citrus-led scent may choose ALPA Classique instead. ALPA Chypre provides a softer, mossier unisex alternative. To experience the Windsor fragrance during the wet shave itself, pair the cologne with ALPA Windsor Shaving Cream.

Alpa Windsor After Shave (blue)

ALPA Windsor After Shave – Czech Classic with Menthol & Allantoin A traditional Czech aftershave containing 70% alcohol by volume, refreshing menthol and skin-soothing allantoin. Its woody-citrus fragrance with aromatic herbal notes evokes the traditional gentlemen’s barbershops of Prague, Vienna and Budapest. Presented in a nostalgic glass bottle and made by the Moravian heritage company ALPA. ALPA Windsor After Shave is an authentic grooming classic with distinctive Central European character. It combines the bracing freshness of a traditional alcohol-based aftershave with menthol, allantoin and a woody-citrus fragrance enriched by aromatic herbal nuances. Windsor is made by ALPA a.s. in Velké Meziříčí, Moravia. The traditional Czech company is particularly well known for its ALPA herbal rubbing alcohol, whose history dates back to 1913. The brand continues to represent functional personal care, distinctive fragrances and exceptional value. Refreshing post-shave care With an alcohol content of 70% by volume, ALPA Windsor provides the immediate bracing freshness associated with a classic aftershave splash. It may initially tingle or sting noticeably on freshly shaved skin. The alcohol then evaporates quickly, leaving the skin feeling dry and refreshed. Menthol complements this effect with a pleasantly cooling and invigorating sensation. Allantoin is a well-established cosmetic ingredient that helps soothe skin stressed by shaving and supports its post-shave recovery. 70% alcohol by volume: Provides the characteristic bracing freshness of a traditional aftershave. Menthol: Cools and invigorates freshly shaved skin. Allantoin: Soothes stressed skin and helps reduce the feeling of shaving-related irritation. Oleth-5 and Oleth-10: Help distribute the fragrance and conditioning ingredients evenly. Windsor is therefore not a mild alcohol-free aftershave balm. It is a deliberately traditional splash for those who appreciate the characteristic tingle and immediate freshness of classic aftershaves. The fragrance ALPA officially describes Windsor as a woody-citrus fragrance with herbal elements. Alcohol, menthol and bright citrus are clearly noticeable immediately after application. The composition then develops a warmer, creamy, soapy and woody character. Fragrance character: Woody, citrus, aromatic and fresh Opening: Bracing, alcoholic and cooling Development: Herbs, citrus and creamy-soapy impressions Dry-down: Warm, woody and gently spicy On the skin, Windsor may also suggest juniper, bay leaf and a splash of cognac or fruit brandy. These are not officially declared individual fragrance notes, but they provide a vivid description of the aftershave’s warm, herbal and slightly alcoholic vintage character. The composition may be understood as a Central European relative of the classic Bay Rum aftershave. Rather than prominent clove and cinnamon, however, Windsor places citrus freshness, herbs, menthol and warm woods at the centre of the fragrance. The atmosphere of a traditional Central European barbershop ALPA Windsor evokes the atmosphere of an old-fashioned gentlemen’s barber in Prague, Vienna or Budapest: warm towels, shaving soap, menthol and a spicy aftershave splash to complete the service. It cannot be reliably established whether the present fragrance composition originated in the 1930s or has remained unchanged since that period. Its resolutely traditional character nevertheless captures the spirit of historic Central European barbershops convincingly. Who is ALPA Windsor suitable for? Admirers of traditional alcohol-based aftershaves Those who enjoy woody, citrus and herbal fragrances Collectors and enthusiasts of Central European grooming classics Normal and comparatively resilient skin Anyone who appreciates a noticeable cooling menthol sensation An affordable introduction to traditional European men’s grooming The high alcohol content may feel too intense on very dry, sensitive or severely irritated skin. A milder or alcohol-free post-shave product may be preferable in such cases. Directions After shaving, rinse the face and neck with cold water and pat dry carefully. Pour a small amount of ALPA Windsor into the palms and distribute over the cheeks, chin and neck. Massage gently into the skin using circular movements. Begin sparingly when using the product for the first time. Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. Do not apply to broken skin. Discontinue use if persistent irritation occurs. The product is flammable and must be kept away from open flames, heat and other ignition sources. Nostalgic glass bottle from Moravia The sturdy glass bottle and simple label complement the aftershave’s traditional character. Its deliberately functional presentation recalls classic pharmacy and barbershop products from Central and Eastern Europe. Containing 100 ml, the bottle is compact yet economical. It is suitable for everyday use, a wash bag or as a small gift for enthusiasts of traditional wet shaving. Complementary products and alternatives Those who enjoy the traditional performance of ALPA Windsor but prefer an American barbershop character will find the Don Draper After Shaves particularly interesting alternatives. Don Draper combines classic aftershave freshness with distinctive fragrances inspired by American men’s grooming of the 1960s. For coordinated hair care, choose Sweet Georgia Brown Hair Tonic, which is also produced by ALPA. Its formula contains glycerin, creatine and allantoin and carries the warm, gently powdery Sweet Georgia Brown fragrance. It is excellent for preparing the hair for classic pomade and completes Windsor as part of a comprehensive vintage grooming routine. For the shave itself, pair Windsor with ALPA Windsor Shaving Cream. It creates a creamy lather, softens facial hair and introduces the understated Windsor fragrance during the wet shave. Traditional alcohol-based aftershave with menthol and allantoin. Woody-citrus fragrance with aromatic herbal notes. Free from added colourants. Presented in a glass bottle. Made in the Czech Republic. Contents: 100 ml (3.5 fl. oz.) Ingredients (INCI): Alcohol Denat. (70% vol.) Alpa Windsor Shaving Cream

Alpa Windsor Shaving Cream – Traditional Lather with Coconut Oil and Glycerin Traditional Czech shaving cream suitable for all skin types. When worked with a shaving brush, it produces a creamy lather that softens facial hair and helps the razor glide smoothly across the skin. Coconut-derived soap and glycerin support a supple skin feel, while the subtle Windsor fragrance recalls classic European gentlemen’s grooming. Made in the Czech Republic. Alpa Windsor Shaving Cream is a straightforward and economical choice for traditional wet shaving. Its concentrated soap base quickly develops into a fine, creamy lather that surrounds the whiskers and helps protect the skin from unnecessary friction during shaving. Whether used with a safety razor, straight razor or cartridge razor, the lather improves razor glide and supports a close shave without requiring a large amount of product. The cream is suitable for all skin types and can be used for daily face or contour shaving. Coconut Oil and Glycerin The formula contains saponified coconut-derived ingredients and moisture-binding glycerin. Together, they help make the whiskers more pliable during preparation while supporting a pleasantly soft skin feel. The resulting lather offers sufficient cushion and glide for more than one shaving pass. Those with sensitive or razor-burn-prone skin should allow the lather to work briefly, shave with minimal pressure and avoid repeatedly passing the blade over the same area. The Windsor Fragrance The fragrance is subtle, clean and distinctly traditional. Light soapy, woody-citrus and herbal impressions recall classic barbershops in Prague, Vienna or Budapest. It remains discreet during shaving and therefore combines easily with a separate aftershave. Directions Thoroughly moisten the face and beard with warm water. Place a small amount of shaving cream on a damp shaving brush or directly into a shaving bowl, then add a little water and work it into a creamy lather. Apply evenly and allow it to soften the whiskers for about one minute. Shave in the direction of hair growth using as little pressure as possible. For a closer result, apply fresh lather and make a second pass across the grain if required. Shave against the grain only when the skin and beard tolerate it well. Rinse thoroughly with cool water after shaving. Complementary Post-Shave Care To continue the traditional fragrance, follow with Alpa Windsor After Shave Lotion. Its formula combines menthol with allantoin and carries the nostalgic Windsor scent into the post-shave routine. For an American-inspired alternative, choose one of the distinctive Don Draper After Shaves. Their classic barbershop character pairs particularly well with traditional wet shaving. The grooming routine can then be completed with a Sweet Georgia Brown Hair Tonic and a suitable Don Draper pomade. Suitable for all skin types. Supplied in a plastic tube with a screw cap. Made in the Czech Republic. Free from added colourants. Alpa CHYPRE Cologne

ALPA Chypre Eau de Cologne – Nostalgic Unisex Fragrance with Floral, Citrus & Moss Notes A traditional Czech eau de cologne for women and men. Its delicate chypre composition combines floral and citrus notes with a mossy, gently spicy undertone. On the skin, it develops into a mild nostalgic fragrance with a subtly powdery finish. Made by the traditional Czech company ALPA. ALPA Chypre Eau de Cologne is a classic cologne for anyone who appreciates restrained, nostalgic fragrances outside the modern mainstream. Its floral-citrus freshness combines with a mossy undertone and gentle warmth to create a traditional chypre character. ALPA describes Chypre as a universal eau de cologne suitable for both men and women. It is intended to fragrance and refresh intact skin and can be applied to the neck, cheeks, forearms or other desired areas of the body. What does chypre mean? Chypre is the French word for Cyprus. As the name of a modern fragrance family, it was established primarily by François Coty’s influential perfume “Chypre”, released in 1917. Its composition inspired numerous perfumers and made the term an enduring part of international perfumery. Classic chypre fragrances commonly combine a fresh or citrus opening with floral heart notes and a warm, mossy-woody base. Throughout the twentieth century, this basic structure inspired many different interpretations, ranging from elegant floral perfumes to dry and spicy men’s colognes. ALPA Chypre presents this tradition in an uncomplicated and highly wearable form. It is considerably lighter than a concentrated perfume, making it particularly suitable for the more generous application associated with a traditional eau de cologne. The fragrance The manufacturer describes ALPA Chypre as a floral-citrus fragrance with a mossy undertone. Immediately after application, the composition feels fresh and aromatic. Softer floral, gently sweet, spicy and mossy facets then begin to emerge. Fragrance character: Floral, citrus, gently spicy and mossy Opening: Fresh and aromatic Development: Mild floral and subtly sweet impressions Dry-down: Mossy, warm and softly powdery On the skin, the fragrance may also suggest honey, musk or vanilla. These are not officially declared individual fragrance notes, but impressions that describe the cologne’s mild, warm and gently powdery overall character. ALPA Chypre is more restrained than many modern eaux de parfum. It is therefore well suited to anyone who wants to wear a pleasant fragrance without surrounding themselves with an overpowering cloud of scent. Who is ALPA Chypre suitable for? Women and men Admirers of classic chypre fragrances Those who enjoy traditional European colognes Light and unobtrusive everyday fragrance Spring, summer and mild weather An affordable introduction to historically inspired fragrances Directions Pour a few drops into the palms and apply sparingly to the neck, cheeks, forearms or other desired areas of the skin. Alternatively, a small amount may be carefully applied to a pocket square. ALPA recommends use on intact skin only. Discontinue use if skin irritation develops. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Because of its high alcohol content, the cologne may sting noticeably on freshly shaved or irritated skin. It does not contain conditioning ingredients commonly associated with a modern aftershave, such as glycerin or allantoin. It is therefore only partly suitable as a post-shave lotion, particularly for sensitive skin. Traditional ALPA presentation The sturdy glass bottle reinforces the cologne’s traditional character. Its nostalgic yellow label features a brown oval frame surrounding the silhouette of a dancing woman. Dark green “ALPA” and “Kolínská voda” lettering – Czech for eau de cologne – completes the vintage presentation. Containing 100 ml, the compact glass bottle is suitable for the bathroom, wash bag or as a small gift for admirers of traditional Czech and Central European products. Complete the vintage ritual with Sweet Georgia Brown Those who enjoy the nostalgic, gently powdery character of ALPA Chypre may find Sweet Georgia Brown Hair Tonic an especially fitting hair-care companion. It is also produced by ALPA in the Czech Republic and combines classic barbershop tradition with glycerin, creatine and allantoin. Its warm, gently sweet Sweet Georgia Brown fragrance is distinctive in its own right while pairing beautifully with traditional colognes. For hair washing, choose Sweet Georgia Brown Cocoanut Oil Shampoo. It cleanses with mild surfactants, conditions with emulsified coconut-oil derivatives and carries the historic Sweet Georgia Brown fragrance without smelling of coconut. Those seeking dedicated post-shave care rather than a traditional high-alcohol cologne may alternatively choose a Don Draper After Shave. These products are specifically designed for application after shaving and combine refreshing skin care with distinctive fragrances inspired by classic American barbershops. Traditional eau de cologne for women and men. Floral-citrus fragrance with spicy and mossy undertones. For external use on intact skin only. Flammable – keep away from open flames and ignition sources. Made in the Czech Republic. Contents: 100 ml (3.5 fl. oz.) Ingredients (INCI): Alcohol Denat. Florida Water Cologne

Murray & Lanman Florida Water – The American Eau de Cologne Since 1808 Legendary American eau de cologne with a vibrant composition of citrus fruits, flowers and warm spices. Sweet orange, lemon and bergamot meet lavender, neroli, clove and cinnamon. A light, nostalgic unisex fragrance for everyday refreshment, made according to a formula dating back to 1808. Murray & Lanman Florida Water is one of the oldest American fragrance waters still available today. According to the manufacturer, it was introduced in 1808 by New York perfumer Robert I. Murray. David Trumbull Lanman later joined the company, eventually giving rise to the familiar Murray & Lanman name. Florida Water is frequently described as the American interpretation of traditional eau de cologne. Rather than relying exclusively on bright citrus freshness, it combines orange and lemon with floral, aromatic and distinctly spicy facets. This makes it warmer, more exotic and more distinctive than many classic European colognes. The Fragrance The manufacturer describes Florida Water as a light floral fragrance with pronounced lemon overtones. Recognisable notes of orange, lemon and bergamot create a lively opening. Softer impressions of lavender, orange blossom, neroli and rose then emerge, while clove and cinnamon give the composition its characteristic spicy warmth. Top notes: Orange, lemon and bergamot Heart notes: Lavender, orange blossom, neroli and rose Spicy accents: Clove and cinnamon Fragrance character: Citrusy, floral, spicy and gently sweet Style: Classic, nostalgic and unisex As an eau de cologne, Florida Water has a lighter and more fleeting projection than an eau de parfum. It remains relatively close to the body and may be reapplied whenever desired during the day. An American Grooming Classic During the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, women and men used Florida Water as a light perfume, refreshing body splash and fragrance for clothing and linen. American barbershops also used generous amounts as a cologne and as a traditional finishing splash after shaving. Historic advertisements referred to Florida Water as “The Richest of all Perfumes” and “The Most Popular Perfume in the World”. These period advertising claims illustrate how widely recognised the fragrance had become by the late nineteenth century. Versatile Cosmetic Use Florida Water can be worn after showering as a lightweight eau de cologne or refreshing body splash. Distribute a small amount between the palms before applying it to the neck, nape, arms or upper body. Florida Water has also traditionally been used after shaving. As its alcohol-based formula does not contain substantial soothing skincare ingredients, it may sting noticeably on freshly shaved, sensitive or irritated skin. Do not apply it to cuts or damaged skin. It also has a historic reputation as a light hair fragrance. It is not, however, a conditioning hair tonic: the formula contains neither glycerin nor traditional active ingredients for the hair and scalp. It should therefore be used very sparingly on dry hair or a sensitive scalp. Cultural Significance Beyond cosmetic use, Florida Water has a long cultural and spiritual tradition in parts of Latin America and the Caribbean, where it is associated with cleansing, blessing and protection rituals. The product offered here is nevertheless intended solely as a cosmetic fragrance water for external use. Complementary Products and Alternatives For post-shave use with a more purpose-specific application, explore the Don Draper After Shaves as distinctive American-inspired alternatives. Blue, Green and Gold combine traditional barbershop character with individual fragrance profiles. For genuine hair and scalp care, choose Sweet Georgia Brown Hair Tonic instead of Florida Water. Glycerin, creatine and allantoin support suppleness and combability, while its warm, powdery fragrance continues the historic American barbershop tradition in a particularly stylish way. Those who particularly enjoy the citrus-spice freshness of Florida Water can wear it as a standalone fragrance. Because Florida Water, Don Draper and Sweet Georgia Brown each have their own distinctive scent, they are best not applied generously at the same time. Directions Pour a small amount into the palms and apply to the neck, nape, arms or upper body. Alternatively, apply sparingly to the wrists. Do not spray or pour directly onto the face. Avoid the eye area, mucous membranes and damaged or irritated skin. Presented in an embossed plastic bottle with gold-coloured printing and a screw cap. Made according to a formula dating back to 1808, according to the manufacturer. Made in the USA. Content: 221 ml (7.5 fl. oz.) Ingredients (INCI): Alcohol Denat. Aqua Parfum CI 42090 CI 19140 The ingredient declaration printed on the individual product packaging is authoritative and may change following a formula or batch update. For external use only. Do not apply to damaged or irritated skin. Avoid contact with the eyes. Flammable – keep away from heat, sparks and open flames. Keep out of reach of children.

Alpa Fougére Eau de Cologne

Alpa Fougére Eau de Cologne – Classic Herbal Fragrance with Moss and Coumarin Traditional Czech eau de cologne with a sweet herbal-spicy character and a distinctive mossy accord. This pleasantly understated fragrance combines aromatic freshness with impressions of lavender, freshly cut hay and a warm, softly powdery base. Presented in its striking checked glass bottle containing a generous 250 ml. Made in the Czech Republic. Alpa Fougére Eau de Cologne is an uncomplicated everyday fragrance for admirers of traditional men’s grooming. Its aromatic, herbal-spicy composition recalls classic barbershops and European colognes from the first half of the twentieth century. It smells clean and distinctive without becoming unnecessarily overpowering. As an eau de cologne, Fougére is lighter than an eau de parfum. It can therefore be worn after a morning shower or reapplied for refreshment throughout the day. The generous 250 ml bottle encourages the more liberal application traditionally associated with classic colognes. What Does Fougère Mean? The name Fougère is French for “fern”, although a fougère fragrance does not literally smell of fern. It describes a traditional fragrance family characterised by aromatic herbs and impressions of lavender, moss and coumarin. The landmark fragrance of this family was Fougère Royale, launched by the French perfume house Houbigant in 1882. Alpa interprets this historic style as an accessible, lightweight eau de cologne with a distinctly nostalgic Central European character. The Fragrance Alpa describes the composition as sweet, herbal-spicy and mossy. It opens with a fresh aromatic impression, followed by soft lavender-like and herbal nuances. Coumarin and the included moss extracts then create a warm base recalling freshly cut hay, forest moss and traditional barbershop preparations. Fragrance character: Aromatic, herbal, spicy and gently sweet Fragrance impressions: Lavender, freshly cut hay and classic shaving preparations Base: Oakmoss, tree moss and soft powdery nuances Style: Traditional, well-groomed, understated and suitable for everyday wear The Distinctive Glass Bottle The heavy glass bottle with its deeply moulded checked pattern is one of this cologne’s most distinctive features. Together with the simple label and large ribbed screw cap, it recalls grooming products found in a bathroom or gentlemen’s barbershop during the 1930s and 1940s. Directions Apply a few drops to the neck, nape, wrists or upper body, depending on the desired intensity. The cologne can be used after showering or whenever refreshment is wanted during the day. For even distribution, pour a small amount into the palms before applying it to the desired areas. Alpa Fougére is formulated as an eau de cologne rather than a conditioning aftershave. Its 70% alcohol content may sting noticeably on freshly shaved, sensitive or irritated skin. Do not apply to damaged skin and avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. Complementary Recommendations Those looking for a greener barbershop fragrance specifically intended for post-shave use may prefer Don Draper After Shave Green. The other Don Draper After Shaves offer additional classic fragrance profiles for a complete shaving routine. For complementary hair care, choose Sweet Georgia Brown Hair Tonic. Its warm, powdery fragrance and historic barbershop positioning pair particularly well with the nostalgic character of Alpa Fougére. For a lighter and more citrus-forward alternative within the Alpa range, consider Alpa Classique Eau de Cologne. Presented in a distinctive checked glass bottle with a screw cap. Glycerin, allantoin and menthol complement the alcohol-based formula, leaving freshly shaved skin feeling refreshed and pleasantly supple. Its woody, mossy fragrance recalls classic men’s grooming from the 1930s through to the 1970s. Presented in a compact 50 ml glass bottle. Alpa 378 After Shave is one of the traditional shaving lotions produced by the Czech company Alpa. Its presentation is as straightforward as its name: a small angular glass bottle, a nostalgic label and a classic alcohol-based formula intended for use after wet shaving. The aftershave refreshes the skin and helps remove any remaining shaving soap or lather. Moisture-binding glycerin and skin-conditioning allantoin help counteract a dry skin feel, while menthol provides a lightly cooling and invigorating finish. The Effect With an alcohol content of 62%, Alpa 378 delivers the immediate invigorating sensation associated with a traditional aftershave splash. It may sting briefly on particularly closely shaved or sensitive areas. After a few moments, the skin is left feeling clean, refreshed and pleasantly groomed. Refreshes the skin after wet shaving Contains glycerin for a supple skin feel Contains allantoin to condition stressed skin Menthol provides light, invigorating freshness Compact 50 ml glass bottle, also convenient for travel Older product descriptions mention Cetylpyridinium Chloride, also known under the trade name Septonex. This substance is no longer included in the product’s current ingredient declaration, so the former product claim is not used here. The Fragrance Alpa describes 378 as a floral-citrus fragrance with a mossy undertone. On the skin, it develops into a classically masculine composition with fresh, spicy, woody and gently powdery-sweet facets. Fragrance enthusiasts may be reminded of familiar German moss-based aftershaves from the late 1960s and 1970s. Alpa 378 has a somewhat softer, more floral and slightly sweeter character. This comparison describes only the perceived fragrance style; Alpa 378 remains an independent Alpa composition. Opening: Floral and citrus freshness Character: Spicy, woody and traditionally masculine Base: Mossy, gently powdery and sweet nuances The Compact Glass Bottle The small, thick-walled glass bottle takes up very little room in the bathroom or a travel bag. Its angular shape, understated label and black screw cap reinforce the product’s nostalgic character. The narrow opening also allows economical dispensing. Directions After shaving, rinse the face thoroughly with cool water and pat dry. Pour a small amount of Alpa 378 into the palms and apply evenly to the freshly shaved skin of the face and neck. Avoid the eye area, mucous membranes and damaged or severely irritated skin. Those with dry or particularly sensitive skin may follow with a neutral aftershave balm. A patch test on a small area is recommended before the first extensive application if the skin is sensitive. Alpa 'Violet' Cologne ('Fialka' - lilac)

Alpa Violet Eau de Cologne – Nostalgic Floral Fragrance Inspired by the 1920s and 1930s Traditional Czech eau de cologne with the delicate, romantic fragrance of violet blossoms. Its light floral-powdery composition recalls classic perfumes and grooming preparations from the 1920s and 1930s. An uncomplicated nostalgic fragrance for women and men, presented in a compact 50 ml glass bottle. Alpa Violet Eau de Cologne is known in Czech as Fialka Kolínská Voda. Alpa describes it as a traditional floral cologne with the fresh fragrance of violet blossoms. Rather than offering the complex development of a modern perfume, its clear and approachable composition places one familiar floral impression at the centre. Violet fragrances were especially widespread during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Their delicate floral and frequently powdery character appeared not only in perfumes but also in face powders, hair oils, pomades and toilet soaps. Alpa Fialka presents this now nostalgic fragrance style in the form of a light and uncomplicated eau de cologne. The Fragrance Alpa Violet smells floral, soft and romantic. Following the initial alcoholic freshness, a distinct violet accord emerges with powdery and gently sweet nuances. The composition remains lighter and more restrained than an eau de parfum, making it suitable for anyone seeking a straightforward floral fragrance without heavy or modern fruity accents. Fragrance character: Floral, powdery, soft and gently sweet Main accord: Violet blossoms Style: Romantic, nostalgic and understated Suitable for: Women and men A Light Cologne Rather Than a Heavy Perfume As an eau de cologne, Alpa Violet has a lighter fragrance character than an eau de parfum. It can therefore be applied more liberally according to the desired intensity and refreshed during the day. The compact 50 ml bottle is also convenient for travel or for discovering this traditional fragrance style. Directions Apply a few drops to the neck, nape, forearms or other desired areas of the body. According to the manufacturer, the cologne may also be used on the cheeks and underarms. Apply only to intact skin and avoid the eyes and mucous membranes. Alpa Violet contains 70% alcohol and is not a conditioning aftershave. It may sting noticeably on freshly shaved, sensitive or irritated skin. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. The product is flammable and must be kept away from heat, sparks and open flames. Complementary Recommendations The warm, powdery barbershop fragrance of Sweet Georgia Brown Hair Tonic pairs particularly well with the nostalgic world of Alpa Violet. Together they create a classic grooming routine reminiscent of the fragrances and hair preparations of the first half of the twentieth century. Those who prefer a product expressly formulated for use after shaving can explore the Don Draper After Shaves, each offering a distinctive American barbershop character.
