The RareCraft Styling Comb XL Carbon Series is an exceptionally large and sturdy handle comb designed for demanding hair and traditional styling products. Measuring approximately 23.5 cm in length, it provides extended reach and leverage for controlling dense, longer or unruly hair.
Its broad, widely spaced teeth glide through thick or wavy hair more easily than fine teeth. This makes the XL comb particularly useful for initial shaping, arranging damp hair and distributing firm pomades and waxes.
XL format for greater reach and control
Its generous proportions distinguish the Styling Comb XL from the more compact RareCraft Texture Comb. The long handle sits securely in the hand and allows controlled, continuous strokes from the roots to the ends.
The additional length makes it easier to distribute styling products evenly through dense or longer hair. Its sturdy construction provides sufficient resistance for firm wax pomades without requiring excessive pressure.
Wide teeth for thick and wavy hair
The generous spacing between the teeth is particularly suitable for dense, thick, coarse and wavy hair. It can also be used to arrange wet or towel-dried hair without compressing individual sections too tightly.
The wide teeth create bold, pronounced comb lines. Hair retains more volume and natural texture than it would with a fine-tooth comb. Waves and curls can be organised without completely removing their natural movement.
For firm and oil-based pomades
The Styling Comb XL is ideal for distributing traditional oil-based pomades, firm wax pomades, hair waxes and rich styling creams. Its wide teeth work the product through the hair and help connect individual sections evenly.
For particularly smooth and finely defined hairstyles, use the XL comb first to distribute the pomade and establish the overall shape. Finish the contours and finer comb lines afterwards with a fine-tooth comb.
Diamond-cut teeth with rounded tips
The teeth are precisely cut using diamond saws and then carefully finished. Their rounded tips support smooth movement through the hair while reducing uncomfortable scratching of the scalp and unnecessary pulling.
The smooth tooth surfaces avoid sharp edges and provide comfortable styling on dry, damp and pomade-coated hair.

Application
Begin by rubbing the selected styling product between the hands and distributing it roughly through dry or slightly damp hair. Hold the handle securely and guide the comb through the hair with long, controlled strokes from the roots to the ends.
For a slick back, comb the hair evenly backwards. For a side part, establish the parting line first and guide both sections in the required directions. When styling a pompadour, lift the hair, direct it backwards and use the comb to shape the front section.
Cleaning and care
After using a water-based styling product, clean the comb under warm running water. Residue from oil-based pomades can be removed with warm water and a small amount of mild shampoo or soap. Rinse thoroughly and allow the comb to dry.

RareCraft Sicilian Sunset Oil Based Clay – Strong Hold, High Texture & Naturally Matte Finish Handcrafted oil-based hair clay by RareCraft with strong, flexible hold and a naturally matte to subtly satin finish. Kaolin and montmorillonite give the hair volume, grip and definition. Shea butter together with wheat-germ, avocado, argan and jojoba oils complements the rich formula. Scented with the Mediterranean Sicilian Sunset fragrance featuring lemon, bergamot, mandarin, bitter orange, orange blossom, neroli, jasmine, amber and ambrette. Made in small batches in Poland. The RareCraft Sicilian Sunset Oil Based Clay combines the reliable hold and characteristic buildup of a traditional oil-based pomade with the dry texture of a modern hair clay. It was developed for styles that require plenty of control, volume and definition while retaining a natural and flexible appearance. Its firm yet workable consistency can be scooped from the glass jar with light pressure and softens when rubbed thoroughly between the palms. Once applied, the clay delivers a strong, long-lasting and restylable hold. Unlike a gel pomade, it does not set completely rigid, allowing the hairstyle to be adjusted with the fingers or a comb during the day. Volume, texture and reliable control Kaolin and montmorillonite add grip while reducing the visible shine of the oil- and wax-based foundation. This creates a textured, naturally matte finish. Depending on the hair, amount used and application method, a subtle and well-groomed satin sheen may remain. The clay groups individual sections of hair, produces visible definition and supports voluminous styles without making the hair look stiff or artificial. Coarse, dense or unruly hair particularly benefits from its combination of strong control and flexible restyling. In this case, apply it particularly sparingly or select a lighter water-based styling product. Rich formula with oils, butter and proteins In addition to petrolatum and selected waxes, the oil-based formula contains botanical oils, shea butter and hydrolysed plant proteins: Kaolin and montmorillonite: Provide grip, volume and a matte finish. Beeswax and microcrystalline wax: Support strong yet flexible hold. Shea butter: Helps keep the hair supple despite the clay’s grippy styling effect. Wheat-germ oil: Complements the formula with conditioning lipids. Avocado oil: Supports a soft and conditioned hair feel. Argan and jojoba oils: Condition the hair and help reduce a brittle feeling. Tobacco is not included in the manufacturer’s current fragrance description. How to use Scoop out a small amount with dry fingers and rub it thoroughly between the palms until the clay becomes soft and evenly distributed. Apply it gradually from the roots through to the ends. For the strongest hold, most texture and mattest result, apply the clay to completely dry hair. Application to slightly towel-dried hair makes it easier to distribute and creates a smoother finish with slightly less volume. Shape with the fingers for relaxed texture or use a comb and brush for a cleaner, more precise result. Add further small amounts gradually when needed. Applying too much at once may unnecessarily weigh the hair down. Buildup and restyling Like a traditional oil-based pomade, Sicilian Sunset Clay may leave a light buildup after a gentle shampoo wash. This thin layer of residual product can be used as a natural styling foundation the following day, often providing additional volume and faster shaping. To refresh the style, lightly dampen the hair with water or an oil-free hair tonic, comb it through and reshape it. A smaller amount of fresh clay than on the first day will usually be sufficient. Washout As an oil- and wax-based clay, the product is not as easy to remove as a water-based pomade. A good shampoo is recommended for thorough cleansing.
