How to use Scoop a small amount of Granny’s Lemon Grove from the tin with your fingertips or the back of your fingernail and rub it thoroughly between your palms. Applying the pomade to towel-dried hair allows for especially smooth distribution and creates a sleeker finish with more shine. Applying it to dry hair provides greater texture and control. Shape the hair as desired using a comb or brush. For additional hold or shine, gradually apply more product in small amounts. Buildup and washing out As a traditional oil-based pomade, MG Pomade Granny’s Lemon Grove cannot be removed completely with water alone. Application as a Styling Product Remove a small amount of clay from the tin using your fingertips or the back of your fingernail, then rub it thoroughly between your palms. Work several small amounts evenly through dry or slightly damp hair, from the roots to the ends. Applied to dry hair, the clay provides maximum texture, grip and the strongest matte effect. Applied to slightly damp hair, it spreads more easily and produces a smoother finish with slightly more shine. Shape the hair as desired using your fingers, a comb or a brush. Add more product gradually if additional hold or texture is required. Application as a Pre-Styler Distribute a small amount sparingly through towel-dried hair and blow-dry it into the desired basic shape. For additional volume, blow-dry the hair against its natural growth direction while lifting it with your fingers or a brush. Once the hair is completely dry, apply another small amount if additional hold, texture or definition is required. Buildup and Washing Out As an oil-based matte clay, the product cannot be removed completely with water alone. Compared with many traditional heavy pomades, however, it can be washed out relatively easily using a thoroughly cleansing shampoo. Depending on the amount applied, your hair type and the number of consecutive applications, one, two or more shampoo washes may be required.
