Carry the closed tin in a trouser or waistcoat pocket for several minutes. Alternatively, warm the surface briefly with gentle air from a hairdryer. Do not strongly heat or liquefy the wax. It only needs to become soft enough to lift more easily with the back of a fingernail. How to Use Use the back of the thumbnail to lift a very small amount from the tin. Rub thoroughly between the thumb and forefinger until the wax becomes soft, smooth and evenly distributed. Work into the moustache from the centre outwards. First establish the basic shape and guide the hair evenly towards the sides. Only then apply another very small amount to the tips and twist them into the desired form. Ensure the moustache is completely dry and comb it through. Warm a small amount of wax between the fingers. Distribute evenly from the centre outwards. Shape the moustache using a fine comb. Apply a little additional wax to the tips. Twist the ends and hold them in position for several seconds. Several thin layers create a cleaner and more stable result than one large application. Barbershop Tip for Maximum Hold Always apply the wax to a completely dry moustache. Water or damp facial hair can reduce adhesion. Once styled, cool air from a hairdryer can help the wax set more quickly. For a particularly precise handlebar, first arrange the entire length with a small amount of wax. Apply a second thin layer exclusively to the tips before twisting them firmly together. Restyling Should a tip become loose during the day, the warmth of the fingers will usually be sufficient to make the existing wax workable again. Briefly warm the affected section between the thumb and forefinger and twist it back into position. Washing Out Because of its high wax content, Expedition Strength cannot be completely removed with water alone. Wet the moustache with warm water before washing thoroughly with a mild beard shampoo.
